Savage and mongraal deserved it. They worked so hard and were looking fantastic. Savage Raw was an incredible journey to follow this season

@@dsburton working hard doesnt mean u deserve it. They relied to heavy on getting surge from mongraal trading tags with a dmr and recycling off of cacti. In the end it wasnt the fact they couldnt get cacti but they couldnt find a dmr

@@KamySpammy partially correct. In a DMR meta, it’s difficult to perform, especially out of mountain and rock refarm splits, without a DMR to engage with the other desert teams. The strategy still could have worked without cacti as they often had excess meds from their split, but it was the lack of DMR and ability to play the rock splits that hurt them most. However, being hardworking and developing strategies does equate to deservingness imo. They just couldn’t execute their strategy and couldn’t adapt on the spot.

@@dsburton being hardworking and developing strategies is useless when the hard work isnt in the right places and the strategies are 1 dimensional. Mongraal and savage had no advantage or edge on other teams, even without the dmr other teams would take mid game fights to get surge/use mending machines to storm fight. Regardless the other desert teams made do and were able to have good performances. Coop nada for example would come too 13 even though their whole plan pre grands was to refarm health using cacti but come grands they had fighting ability to rely on to change strats, graal and savage hard rely on their dmr dmg for surge so much so they had no plan b. It isnt hard to place out of mountain/rock re splits when you have deep map knowledge and multiple loot routes, a part of which is knowing what teams are around you and how to exploit their drops, research that graal and savage did not do. Veno would land at a more north campfire/launch pad to key a team that landed later when the bus came from north to south, he used this to get atleast a minimum of 3 kills through all of grands, seek and dash would go to a 2x1 shack with 2 slurp barrels and an ammo box that was on khanada’s loot path and then set up pre edits to kill him. Its not a hard work problem but not adjusting to the top of the meta game even if we disregard the cacti
