the thing is that the new generation likes trashy stuff like Bizardvark and isn't really into HSM like the old generation so it doesn't make sens to re-do it for a generation that won't appreciate it. Plus it's kind of just disrespectful that it's a new cast and not the orginal cast.

I feel the same way. The new HSM cast are just doing their job and spending so much time. I've seen the original HSM and it is not that amazing soo i don't see why people are hating on this. I honestly feel bad for them and don’t understand why everyone is so pressed. Like I get you miss the old HSM but it’s not like they remade the old movies and changed everything, it’s literally a show about them doing the musical and living their teenage lives that’s it. So no it’s not going to have the same cast either because one, it’s a completely different show and two they all have lives outside of HSM. They made this show for the people that liked HSM thinking it would be something you guys would enjoy but as usual people have to be ungrateful assholes. Grow up and stop hating on the cast and writers just because YOU don’t like how they are doing things.

Alexis Tyler agreed! I saw a comment saying people are mad because the new generation “doesn’t appreciate” the old HSM, and that it was very “disrespectful” that they didn’t use the old cast in the new show, but like why would they do that? The old cast is a lot older now and it wouldn’t make sense, and the show is nothing like the movies, the only thing similar with them is that they were doing HSM for their school play. I totally agree with you, people need to stop being so rude and stuck up about it, the cast is so talented and they all did a great job with the show, people are so ungrateful!
