That knowledge is given to *every* heart. It's called the "Natural Law" (not to be confused w/the law of nature) that should guide your conscience, seperating right from wrong, reasoning. Most Protestant denominations called it a myth a while back, because it was taught by the Catholic Church. Some Protestant Denoms as of late have been wrestling with it, and a few have now accepted it. Is it in the Bible? Yes,I t is: Paul writes to the Romans describing Gentiles who do not yet have the law but “do by nature what the law requires,” saying that they prove that “what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them” before God (Rom. 2:14-16).

You are right, no person can die without sin. Romans 8 also assures us that, for those who belong to Christ there is no condemnation. HOWEVER, sin separates us from God. Continuing in sin presents a barrier that will stunt our relationship with the Lord. The closer we want to be to Jesus the less we will sin AND the character of Jesus will lead us to the fullest, most contented life we can have so it's best for US. The more appreciation of that we have, the less attractive sin becomes. When we sometimes give into sin and experience it's ugliness and hurt it causes we have the grace of God which is POWER that frees us from condemnation and enables us to grow away from sin and towards Him through the Lord Jesus living in our hearts.

He does, and it's good to see. I hope, over time, what seems to be a fear and anxiety of judgement, reduces. Hebrews 4:16 tells us to come boldly before the throne of God and there we will find mercy and grace. 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear. Jesus is that perfect love and, if we fear we have yet to fully experience that love. This is not said in judgement. All who truly follow Christ are on a lifelong journey to more fully experience the depth of His love. One thing I continually question is the sincerity of my heart. Am more concerned about the motivation behind my doing the right thing than by the times I fail and to the wrong thing. The latter is obvious. The former is very easy to deceive myself.

This was a great conversation! I’m always questioning if I’m “good enough” to make it to heaven. And I’m not. I’m a dirty sinner and there’s nothing I can ever “do” to make it into heaven. But His grace is sufficient! Amen!!! With that said, willful sin is what will do a lot of people in. You said you know having sex with your girlfriend is wrong, and therefore you take accountability for it. God forbid, if today was your last day, where would that lead you? The willful acts of sin should be avoided at all costs! If you know that by having sex with your girlfriend goes directly against what God intended, then stop putting yourselves in a position to want to be intimate. Don’t go to each other’s apartment and cuddle up on the couch. We all know how easy it is for one thing to lead to another. Wait for marriage! It’s not too late to stop, just because you’ve been doing it. It can still be special if you wait. That’s my prayer for you both! Make it special. Make it what Christ intended 🙏🔥

I love this. It’s frustrating how people misinterpret that verse, and some people will use it to scare people. A “preacher” I heard once said that and i almost left my faith cause I thought it wasn’t even worth trying to live good if I wasn’t gonna go to Heaven anyway, it’s so sad how many people misunderstand and misinterpret that verse.

I know someone who is feeling the feeling of un forgiveness and I had that feeling this morning and was reminded this. You are forgiven.
@gabepettinicchio74549 ай бұрын
No, you have to do your best to stay away from sin. You will however sin, so you must be contrite in asking for forgiveness and do your very best not to sin a again. Scripture tells us that "nothing" unclean can enter Heaven. Scripture also says that "all sin is not deadly. If you pass-on while deadly sins are on your soul, you cannot, will not enter Heaven. At death, your fate is sealed!

Jesus said that if you love him, you will obey his commands. Faith is how we are saved but we obey to prove to him we truly love and respect him.

That was a good thought at the end. "Are you concerned about what God thinks, or what the world thinks". That may also answer the question as to whether or not your faith is sincere. Romans 7:15 - I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate.

I’m wrestling with the same issue Janko is/was having. I’ve come back to the Lord recently and my gf who I have put through hell over the last 2 and half years is not a believer but has a very open heart and I’ve even watched her come to the realization that evil and free will exists. I can feel that the Lord doesn’t want me to sever this connection and is asking me to show her what agape love is.

I don't really fear anything except for being seen as Lukewarm in his eyes, but what I may try what I encourage others to try is to doubt if you are good enough that will encourage you to seek to strengthen your connection with God, I see works because of faith as good, because you believe you should obey.

Thank you guys for doing this podcast. I've been wanting go learn what it truly means to live life as a Christian and not be lukewarm. I agree with you, George, that the verse you stated from Matthew is very scary. I know I don't want to be on that left side with the goats and hear Christ tell me that He never knew me.

When it comes to relationships, God knows that adults have needs, but But at the same time there's a difference between doing these things liberally whenever you have the inclination and only when you absolutely cannot hold out. In other words there's a difference between living in sin and sining due to weakness. God judges the heart so he will know if you were taking advantage or if you were being truthful

”And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’“ Matthew 7:23 This verse has been interpreted many different ways. I read that verse and immediately am reminded of Televangelists who are doing good works publicly but are actually workers of lawlessness, who do not believe in God or worse have a God complex.

@@Andrew-pv8oz we are all flawed humans and all of us have at some point misinterpreted the bible at some point. That's not the issue, the issue is that when they are rebuked they either go back to their false teaching (doubling down) or intentionally misinterpret (both the Bible and someone rebuking them) to GAIN FOR THEMSELVES. That is not someone who follows Jesus Christ, plus anyone can believe in a Jesus, the question is which Jesus?
