My partner brought me a copy of my childhood stuffed toy a couple of years ago. We call him stand in and he travels with us whilst the original stays safe at home 😂 Stand in has been to Florida and Turkey in the last few years, living his best life. 👌 xx

Hello Grace, I normally don’t comment on video’s, but in this case I make an exception. About a month ago I found your channel. I love you pure and enthusiastic personality, the way you stay yourself (on good days and on days it is a bit meh) and the positivity you bring. My family are still waiting to see if Christmas can go ahead for us as I've had covid, I'm out of isolation tomorrow but I don't know if I've passed it on. Hang in there, I hope you don't lose your smell like I did. Hopefully 2022 will be the best year of the decade for all of us (not much to go by though!).

Brighton looks lovely! I was supposed to go and see my sister, her husband and my niece and nephew ( who I have yet to meet, he was born in April 2020) but the new travel restrictions between France and UK have put paid to that. Also no theatre trip, no seeing my other sister’s family in law up North and my aunt, uncle and cousins plus their children in Oxford! Epic sadface here!

My family and I have been isolating (2 consecutive positive results) since the start of December, don’t get out until 24th and thats only if our day 8 tests are all negative. We’ve missed absolutely everything christmassy i’d planned on doing with our extended family and our foster kids that we wont have next year and I’m so gutted! Silver lining we get to celebrate the birth of our saviour regardless of Covid!

I have just come back from Brighton! Thoughts were: A LOT of homeless people, A LOT of independent shops closed down :(

The homelessness is so bad. I lived there for a couple of years and it seemed to consistently get worse. Western Road and the seafront is honestly so depressing sometimes. Luckily people tend to be nice and I'd always see people giving money and food, used to do it myself and stop for a chat on my way home from work. I lived in hostels for a few months there and spent a lot of time with the homeless community when I did and it's just heartbreaking. So many people staying on the street because they couldn't raise the £8 a hostel for the night cost - during peak season the hostel prices rose so much the streets become absolutely full with homeless :(

@@Nancy-cy8yr Yeah that road is particularly awful, I have honestly never seen so many, not even in London. My girlfriend is a Psychologist and apparently alot of the mental illness/drug rehab centre's are often down by the coast and so they often get sent in that direction to get help

So 2021 hasn't been a good year at all, but maybe as 2020 was so awful i don't see it as too much worse? But i did experience my first closest and most personal death. However, i also accomplished a lot, really built up my relationship with my mum, moved into what is hopefully a more permanent home, and went all the way to Birmingham to take part in an award ceremony and won! As well as going on a MASSIVE personal journey and accomplishing a ton!
