It's a show with genuinely interesting and fun characters, who also just happened have super powers on the side. I laughed out loud so much while watching this. I didn't think a Modern show could make me laugh anymore.

I think I understand Jen, even when she's selfish, because she needed a point where she makes a mistake and it's part of her being mad she doesn't have a power, but that's okay cause rhe protagonist not being perfect is a good thing, she is not just selfish. The selfishness is a hurdle Jen has go over. It shows the protagonist isn't just a perfect angel who can't do wrong, she's human and she will learn from it I feel

If anyone hasn't watched Misfits (2009-13) then absolutely go do that now. This review made me think of that and it is honestly amazing. Also British. So good!

There is actually a third show creating a genre of self -deprecating British Superhero comedies, No Heroics (2008) but it’s crap. Misfits benefits from a longer format, more of a comedy drama than sitcom .

The first episode was spot on and hilarious. But the show slowed down horribly at times, and was near unwatchable (especially with the vigilante storyline which was just awful). I totally agree that Jen became truly unlikeable after the 5th episode, and after she and her BFF made up, she never really apologized for her selfishness, which was essential for her to make her way back to being a good person. The standout in this series is the actress playing Carrie. Brilliant. She was the only likeable one of the cast. By the end, the series finishes well, and you have that last open scene with Jizzlord in the grocery store, which should lead to an interesting season 2.

Watch the last episode again with her "Ex". She has a "superpower", you just have to think about it. Its spoiled 2 times in the series. Wont say more....

Spoilers.... . . . . . . . I wondered about it but I think if it's what I'm thinking...the dude was just having issues with self esteem, it wasn't because of her as a negative power field or something like that. Unless because jizzlord was able to transform as well...but his powers aren't gone.

The show was amazing tbh, had to binge watch it in two sittings it was a fun ride obviously a one time watch but again, i cant remember other comedies where i laughed that hard , it had its moments especially that black arse being stuck in the wall etc 😂😂hated the charcheter of kash from the get go, especially with all his manipulation going around.

It was actually really funny. Genuinely laughed out loud multiple times. But the lead actresses' character; the "ordinary" one, my God, what an awful, selfish and unlikeable person. O.o
