Fun fact: this is an entirely new vocalist to Strive: Molly Daisy Scarpine. She is the ONLY vocalist of this track. Her range, needless to say, is incredible.

I hope they do more guest vocalists for the dlc characters, cuz she KILLED it here

Also, this is her at only, like, 5% of her vocal power. (Just listen to Hyper Psychic's debut EP to hear just how hard her voice can go)

Btw, Elphelt's theme "Extras" has Christmas motive in some parts of the song. That's because ironically, Elphelt's birthday is in december

Her birthday is Christmas Day.

It would be really funny if Molly Daisy was given the license to make a Death Metal Christmas album as Elphelt's band Speothos Venaticus.

The "hair thing" is referred to as an ahoge. It is just an exaggerated cowlick.

In japaneese it is a "dumb hair"

@@cripplinganimedepression9902 This. It's typically an indicator that the character is either extremely naive or otherwise tends to not take things seriously to the point of looking dumb or foolish.

I think the "rub a dub" line was chosen because Elphelt chooses to "wash away" her difficult past and move on, hence the playful allusion to bathing.

I’m a Japanese man so I can’t quite understand the meaning of “rub-a-dub-” part. To understand the music I wanna know. Not gonna be rude but many reactors laugh when they hear this part.

Do not worry, we are English speakers and even we don't really understand the rub a dub part. It's just a cute phrase and a fun thing to say, probably so show El's innocence and fun loving attitude 😊

@@zanzibar4730 The best interpretation I've seen so far is that she's "washing away" her old life and embracing a new one where she puts her interests first and tries something new that she likes even if she isn't great at it yet (she's not very popular as she's only sold a few tickets, but she's sticking to a music carreer).

It's kinda difficult to really describe, but rub-a-dub most often refers to the act of washing yourself in the bathtub. "Rub" as in rubbing the soap on yourself. It has a childish conotation to it because when bathing a child/teaching them how to bathe it's common to use that term. It's just meant to encourage good hygiene by trying to make it fun and silly. That's why it's pretty funny to hear it in the song. However I did also see someone else online who said rub-a-dub can also mean the sound of drumming, so that might be closer to the intended meaning of the lyric in the song.
@maeckknox6535 Жыл бұрын
@@gatr2897 Rub a Dub is a style of drumming that is from reggae and jazz that sounds like its timing and soloing at the same time. You can hear this style of drumming in the song when molly starts singing without the growls.
