Colin Farrell REACTS to Irish Pub Owner Lifting His 25-Year Ban (Exclusive)

“The Banshees of Inisherin” stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson sat down with “Extra’s” Jenn Lahmers at the 2023 Oscars Nominees Luncheon. They spoke about their longstanding friendship in real life and telling the story of the total breakdown of a friendship on screen. Colin also had some fun reacting to headlines about an Irish pub owner lifting his 25-year ban ahead of the Oscars!

​@dwaynedibley4294 what I mean by his position is were he stands socially. When he says "oh all this rich people celebrating again.. etc" he is aware of the privilege he earned for himself.

When I saw Colin talk about how "drink ruled (his) life," I was able to put down my beer bottle forever. He is SUCH an inspiring beautiful person. THIS is how he humbly became 'The Saint Of Toronto': about 20 years ago he was here for The Toronto Film Festival, met a homeless guy on the street, took him for a fancy steak dinner, then rented him an apartment, paying the rent for a YEAR! The next year, when he returned, he visited his new friend, found out that he was working on his sobriety but still unemployed and paid the rent for ANOTHER YEAR! I get tears in my eyes just telling this story. But you won't ever hear Colin talk about it.
