I think maybe they do hit the middle but because of the swinging motion they come out at the edge, it just happens so fast that you see more of the coming out? From what I can tell? ETA: Oh yeah, Adam definitely didn't hit the middle but his face was clear of the rim when it went in.

I used to wonder when this aired WHY you’d test something that was clearly staged, but in todays world of mis information, it doesn’t hurt to unpack myths like this to develop critical thinking skills. It’s less about ‘is this possible’ but ‘what risks and possible unforseen issues arise from this happening’

It’s dumb how they call something busted just cuz they can’t do it. He was able to bite the ring for a second. Which luck, patience and determination I’m sure someone could get an apple. They already proved they can repeatedly hit the target (wind permitting). They get way too specific with their parameters sometimes.

If you can't avoid hitting the ring 100% of the time, you'd hit your head on the edge of a bucket/barrel/etc doing it for reals. Even if it was possible to be accurate enough to line up with an apple, is it possible to have the reaction time to bite it? Theoretically possible, sure, but if it's a one in a million then it's reasonable to bust it

What can go wrong? Well, you jump and your foot slips out of that stupid knot around your ankle. So you fall like a Newton's apple. Or worse, the other end of the shock cord gets loose. You fall and that loose end comes down, aiming at your groin. That hurts. And then you hit the water at a huge speed. Third option is something in between the two. It will never get comfy cosy. Bungee jumping is very stupid. Who garantees you, that shock cord will really work fine? You can never be shure, it is a gamble with death, and that explains the screaming. It IS stupid. People did die, when the length of the shock cord was calculated wrong, your head hits mother earth. What else? It is STUPID. Get real.
