I love that you're keeping it rustic while bringing in little modern touches. Also, when you're done with the floating garages, I think you should repurpose them into greenhouses or cold frames so you can get an early start on seed planting.

Hey guys! For that plywood base under the mattress, you should really use a hole saw and drill some decently sized ventilation holes all over it. You don't want your mattress against a completely solid surface like that, there needs to be some airflow to prevent mold/mildew. Otherwise, love the look of your new space!

I like the wall that you covered in the wood in back of the bed… I’ve thought of doing something similar with a wall that my fireplace is on… and seeing how it turned out for you… I think that would be a good option in the future… The reveal was incredible it looks so comfortable… enjoy your new room… 🕊️

I love the space! It reminds me of my grandfather who built his two story cabin out in the mountains of Idaho, pretty much all on his own. The house of course was one of a kind and it was so beautiful. Your choices of color and design just bring the space to life. So unique and beautiful, besides who wants a cookie cutter house? Congrats on completing the upstairs, can't wait to see the rest!!

Amazing work the bedroom space looks classy and cosy. When you started painting the boards the paint looked red so I thought it was mahogany but even though it’s brown, which I don’t normally like, the space looks incredible. I love all the live edge and the wood is beautiful x

Thanks! I know it’s a little funky…We cut out some sections and then the rest is only slightly above the actual floor height - our rug was way too big to push around and cutting it more would damage it. In the future we can just swap a rug easily if need be but either way you wont really see a gap too bad

Ally I love all of it. I’ve been following both of you guys for a while now every time I watch your videos I’m so homesick. I’m originally from Eastampton Mass it’s by Northampton. I grew up there. I’m 67 now it’s been a while, but I long to come home anyways you guys did a beautiful job. Oh by the way, where did you guys get your rugs my floors are terra-cotta too. I had to paint my whole house and I didn’t not want to spend money or time on tape so I put caulking in the corners that way there was a smooth line and it was a lot easier to do it by hand with a smaller brush! It’s definitely worth trying and saves time on taping.
