I love how you two are honoring and elevating the history and character of the school. Too many people on the internet are buying old buildings and borderline erasing the history of them and turning them into something of a shadow of their former selves. Thank you for your videos.

During the depression, the colors were bold… for a reason. Im big into textiles and love the feedbacks from the day. So bright and cheerful. Pretty genius marketing when you think about it… flour, sugar, chicken feed in color fabrics to be used for dresses and needed items. 😊

I remodeled my house several years ago and have never painted because I can’t decide what colors, but I think I have decided my colors. lol You guys have done a beautiful job with the school house. @wizz2004 they can't live there full time YET, but most everything is up to Code. Belongings can be moved in while a few Code things are tweaked to make the Code Officer happy. Pretty much standard procedure. The Code Officer has to find a few things "wrong" and give the owners so many days to make the changes or finish installation. Then the Code Officer will come back to check those off the list and give them Permanent Occupancy.

I love that you are restoring an old school house and documenting it with the artifacts and using old items in it! Loving the colors and stories behind them. Never knew that there was a company that recycles old paints and resells them! My old elementary school was repurposed into a condominium complex. They kept the outside the same and kept some of the details inside. It melts my heart. ❤

This is the coolest before and after process I've ever seen. Your kitchen is incredible! I also love the fact that you're using recycled paint. The explanation of why, and the process of how it's accomplished was amazing. Not only are you taking an old building, that might otherwise have been demolished, and recycling it into a beautiful home, but you're using recycled materials to do it. I'm getting ready to redecorate my bathroom and update other parts of my house, and I will definitely look into Up paint. You are truly doing a public service, by sharing your experience with them. Thank you! This is the first time I've seen one of your videos, and now I will be binge watching you. 😂

Patina is such a great color, and what a statement to make in the main entrance of your home to start with this bold color ! I'm also a fan of how your stairs to the basement look, not only was the tile a great idea but I love the light color against the wood. Somehow I expected you to use Pressed Peony in the living room too, it feels like it would match the energy of Eraser Dust. I've said this before, but it's so great to see a renovation project that isn't just made of white, grey and beige for a change. It was great to hear your thought process for the colors, too. If any French people are reading this, I decided to look up whether there is anyone recycling paint here in France, and found a company called Circouleur :)

FANTASTIC move with the idea of using the pieces of plaster as art, then coordinating your paints with them! I have a collage of wallpapers from my family home of five generations (and where we now live....though its future is uncertain) which my daddy made. As we made a couple of changes, I added a few scraps to it! Also made a glass-filled lamp from plaster wall and old wiring parts from when we had the knob and tube replaced in half the house....still have the upstairs to go! In addition to gifting some of your handmade pottery, maybe you could sell some of your lovely pottery to help with the school project! Of course, let us all know if you do and on what platform! ps. the name "Patina" is PERFECT for that green, but I really like ALL of the greens. That Knobstone brick color is outstanding with the brick!

No constructs down to the same specks today! As indicated in this video throw away nothing it can be refurbished! elbow grease is not wasted on these materials!

While waiting for update videos, I managed to binge watch from the first. Missed the progress, but truly excited for the "move in" certificate. Preparing videos slows you down, and finally moving bits and pieces with small children is hectic. Your choice of colors with adherence to history is brilliant. Easy to envision trees planted, grasses growing, and flower beds blooming. Thank you for taking us along with this journey. ** why do I feel that we're seeing vlogs that were made months and months ago? And that the build is more than finished? Just my wishes and dreams perhaps?

The end of the video was filmed a couple days ago! So it’s pretty up to date… unfortunately for me with the chaos 😅

You have done an amazing job! The forethought to save little pieces of stucco wows us. You will have a fantastic home once you are completed. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. You will enjoy the day you can actually sit down and say "we have completed our project" and have a toast.

The inspiration for solid colors is a fascinating process that is different for everyone. We often look at a material with a mosaic of colors but then when we isolate them, often we’re disappointed. I’m doing that with rust and it’s a lot more challenging than we would think!

I worked in a school built in 1900. It was so full.of light. It had 5 school rooms. The light was outstanding! I always wished that I could turn it into an artists studio business. I wasn't a teacher. Your videos are hard to stop watching because you are a great host.
