J'ai reconnu Auris en Oisans, super petite station, et bravo pour ce carving de folie ! Je m'y mets depuis quelques temps, j'ai une swoard également mais avec des softboots, super sensations ! Mais je ne carve pas autant que toi... Encore bravo ! :D

Bravo! How do you manage to ride straight so fast? In my case, at higher speed straight runs (60 + km/h), it starts to feel like, that my edges of snowboard at tail are starting to grab my board, so I decrease speed...any proposal :)

Thanks for your comment ;-) I am not so sure about the problem you are facing but the stability of the board highly depends on the flex and length. If the board is too short, at high speed, there are strong vibrations and you are force to decrease the speed. Regarding the angle of the bind, I am at -38 front and -42 rear, my board is 172 Flex M. Maybe these settings can help you to keep the direction. I rode on different boards and the F2 speedster RS 177 was really stable but not funny if you don't have speed, Hot blast 163 is not stable at high speed and 168 was good trade off, but the Swoard is nice.

I have a Coiler 178 free carve and was a bit twitchy when bombing long runs. Got a base grind and sharpen. Much better!

It’s a completely different sport carving on a hard board, like it’s 100x easier on a hard board, and anybody can do it after a couple tries. Soft boots and bindings naturally hit the snow when carving like this, so carving on hardboards vs softboards is apples and oranges

In my experience it takes a lot of experience and excellent edge control to ride an alpine board. There's a reason so few people do it, primarily because they're twitchy and very unforgiving of mistakes. I say that as someone who rides alpine almost every day during the ski season, and I teach it occasionally. And euro-carving is even a smaller subset of alpine riders.

je tombes sur cette video par hasard je me dis tiens un planche a neigiste .... sympa les courbes .... puis tout d'un coup je me dis SIGNAL DE L HOMME a auris .... ! un jour on fait la course ? moi aussi je met la main dans la neige mais quand je tombe !!!! bon je fais ma blague de monoskieur : j'adore ta video mais tout au ralenti ça fait beaucoup ..... :) ah ? c'est vitesse réel ? :)

Ahah merci pour ce sympathique commentaire! Oui fidèle à la station depuis des années ! Piste large, domaine suffisant , pas où peu de fil d’attente. J’ai fait aussi 6ans de mono : de bonnes sensations, dommage que ce type de glisse comme l’Alpin disparaisse … La vitesse est réelle mais il y a un léger retard entre la vitesse affichée et la vitesse réelle.
