What is your opinion about bunk beds my wife is thinking of getting the kids bunk beds do you recommend them and by the way merry Christmas
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
Merry Christmas! I had have bunk beds for years in our house but I am careful about which ones for the ages. Like Gwynn got her bunk bed at 2 so I made sure to buy the low profile. Declan is a monkey so I made sure his had built in stairs so he didn’t hurt himself climbing on ones that could potentially fall off.

Fear not! My youngest daughter was messy. Actually, her room was a total disaster, not to mention her dresser, her book bag and closet. Today she is a successful woman with children of her own and a lovely home she keeps clean and organized. It happens!

You are far more patient than me. My kids have to clean their own messes even my 7 year old. We don't allow food in their bedrooms, just water in case they get thirsty in the middle of the night. We don't allow TV's in their rooms either because I want them to read or play more. I love your videos on cleaning and hack videos.
@RachPlusFive2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I prefer no food or drinks other than water in the bedrooms but they break that too frequently and we are working on it. 😊

I've been asking my daughter to clean up her room for a month now and still hasn't. I also deal with the same thing also coming back in there and looking at the stuff still there.

It’s ridiculous. I don’t understood how they are ok living in a mess like that. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️

I have cleaning question. When I clean the stove how to clean the stove burners its electric
@RachPlusFive3 жыл бұрын
When I had stove burners, I would remove them to deep clean. Use a paste made from water and baking soda and let it sit on the burners for about 20 minutes and then scrub them with Dawn. Dry completely before putting back AND make sure to not wet the part that connects to the actual stove while cleaning. Hope that makes sense.

Thank you so much for your motivation videos. My two grandsons live with us and I’ve all but given up on cleaning my house. Now I can’t remember my children being this messy but I kept my house fairly clean. You have given me the inspiration to get my house clean again.

Amazon. Search plastic kitchen scrapper and it’s a 2 pack (green and white) for $4-$5.

Lol- I have two boys and my youngest in HS does the same. Mess everywhere, 2-3” from laundry hamper and clothes are on the floor!! Mess everywhere and can’t clean well after the mess! I think our our kids drank the same water when it comes to struggle cleaning and keeping it clean! lol. 🤪🤪😜😜
What is your recommendation for cleaning unsealed, 50 year old original hardwood floors? I’ve read about your powdered tide, etc for mopping, but was wondering if there’s anything I should avoid on our floors. I use the same mop you do except I have the one with the extra area for clean water. I also have a steam mop, but have heard different things about whether I can use it on the wood floors since they are not sealed. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated! PS: Love your channel. I don’t know how you do all you do because it’s just me and my husband and I don’t have time to do half of what you do! We have a house cleaner, but she just mops with vinegar and water and I feel like there could be a better way!! Thanks in advance!!
@RachPlusFive3 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! As far as the wood floors… I don’t have (and have never had) hardwood floors so I have very little knowledge. I know that you’re supposed to avoid using water and high heat (like a steamer) but I have no clue how you would clean them without those things. I’m sorry and wish I was more help on the subject. I am doing more research though to learn about hardwood because this question comes up frequently.
