Hi family, for better traffic flow in the living room area, may I suggest you pull the two larger sofas away from the walls, to face each other; then move the smaller loveseat portion to your TV area, or to float between the TV area and the living area? Or you can remove the 3rd smaller sofa altogether and place it elsewhere. If it's not too bulky, it may work in your newly cleaned room, but I am not sure of it. Just play around with your furniture, and you will discover new ways to make the best use of the space. Allowing furniture to float away from the walls and windows will create a more intimate conversation area for family and friends. You will have a clear path to walk behind your sofas upon entering the space, and there should be clear views to see the television from that area as well. I wish I were there to show you my vision, as I love designing spaces, especially small ones. You are doing a great job! Thank you for sharing with us. ❤

That baby cot is good as a seat. Just trim the legs to a couch hight and put back the mattress and find some cushions on the back rest. Then put it on that very clean patio . That's what I did with mine😊

No curtains, no blinds, nothing. They would take the light. Such beautiful windows do not need anything. The most beautiful is the view out to the green garden. A relative can make you a low and narrow shoe cabinet for this space.

The room you cleaned can have multiple uses: mudroom, reading nook, sunroom, etc. I would definitely add green plants, comfy chairs with cushions, a small table, a bench, and shelf to put shoes; hooks for coats, jackets, backpacks...etc. Beautiful ❤ 😊

The big elephant ear plant will love that room with all the light. Perfect place for it. I think a Bristol pub table (bar height) with two bar stools will work well there so you could set there with your enjoy tea & see outside. I like the ones that are for outdoor. Also, a comfortable chair to relax & read.

I think the entrance room could be used as a ‘mudroom’. Bench for putting on shoes and boots. `Hooks for coats and jackets…a rack for all your shoes and boots. A place to store backpacks. I had a mudroom when we were a growing family. It served us well and kept the house clean and tidy. Just a thought. ❤

This entrance hallway is also called a mud room. You may furnish it with a shoe rack, and a coat rack, (or wall hooks), a narrow bench, and a small mat by the front door to wipe your shoes on. Small potted plants on the windowsills would add beauty to that room. There is no need for curtains, but that's up to you.

I would get two chairs and a small table, make a shoe shelf where u can put outside shoes and inside shoes. Also, get a mat so your outside shoes don't bring dirt in the house or on the shelf.

Usually an entry way in the country here would have a place to store shoes and hang a few coats. Then maybe a small bistro table and chairs. I’m sure you will figure out what works best for your family though. Things are looking sharp.

Dear Joyce and Peter. You are doing such a wonderful job on your home. I love this entryway into your home. When you have visitors, this room is the first thing they see. Make it welcoming. A bench would be a good place for you and your visitors to sit down to remove and put on boots and shoes. You can place a beautiful large plant which will thrive here. Maybe put a pretty stand with a lamp on it. You could even place a comfortable, easy chair here. Just make it a beautiful, welcoming, entryway that says, "Welcome to our home."

Hi Joyce, Peter and the lovely well mannered children. Joyce you once mentioned that you have some broken tiles, how about using some of them to tile your storage floor. Having a proper floor will help keep the moisture at bay and help to preserve your stuff. And when you have extra money plastering the walls would be a great idea as well, so there is less moisture. Just an idea.

The veranda looks AMAZING 🤗. I think you should get a nice BISTRO SET to put on the veranda , so you and Peter can sit out there every morning and have a cup of tea and look out at your garden. A bistro set is 2 chairs and a small table that sits between the 2 chairs. Also, I will be shipping the box soon. I will email you Joyce with a list of all items that will be inside the box. 🙏🫶

Beautiful! Your veranda can have some patio furniture and some plants 🪴 and just sit out to relax and watch the outside! In the corner where the electric switch you can put a nice outdoor lamp with a wicker shade on it ! There’s so much you can do to that area ! So happy for you and your family ! I would suggest that you place a couple of chairs and a small table in your varanda. Also, some of your beautiful flowers will make it relaxing. The entrance veranda you could add a comfy chair at the far end, a side table and a lamp. Then you could have a comfy place to sit a read and it will look really nice and relaxing as you enter the house. If it get's enough light maybe a couple of plants. You could also maybe add a small shelf next to the front door to put shoes on.

As we call it in the USA... that would make a really good ROOT CELLAR..if u r living in the country side and have a garden we store the root vegetable after harvest in the dark of a root cellar...it keeps the vegetables fresh and longer than in the kitchen or refrigerator...

The balcony is looking great. It could as someone mentioned be used as a small sun room, with a bench, or a couple of chairs and a small table, a potted plant maybe. And maybe a shoe rack under the window at the left side, so everyone can put their shoes when they go in or out. If everyone slips off their outdoor sandals there and change to indoor sandals/shoes/slippers, that would maybe save you a lot of work. Peter, please make sure your storage house door is sealed at the bottom. If not mice and other pest can get in and create a big problem. There should not be an opening at the bottom of the door footing where things can crawl in.

Your clothes line could do with clothes poles as it raises your washing line and can blow in the wind , just a long stick with a v cut in the each end to hold the rope in place and easy to store when not in use , I see you crouching down under your rope🤍

Kikuyu culture boys were circumcised at the age of 14 years once they finished their KCPE exams but recently adjusted to 12years before joining Junior school
