These matches are usually very different from USPSA in terms of stage flavor. Did you adjust your game in any way or shoot it the same as if it were Nationals? What would you say were the most challenging aspects of the match?

Biggest difference is accommodating very short visualization periods and having workable “confidence” in the plan. Otherwise you have to train to be comfortable locking down impeccable points on intermediate targets in dynamic and uncomfortable positions. USPSA won’t prepare you for that adequately. If I had the last 6 months prior to do over I’d do a lot more movement skills, annoyingly difficult and technical execution challenges, and probably less speed shooting fundamentals drills.
