It depends. One of the old Studebaker factory buildings in South Bend was built extremely well and is a VERY solid building. It was decided that it would be cheaper and better to renovate it than to knock it down and build a new (and inferior) building.

In the second clip of this video there was a bus on the roof of the building, WTF??? Ha ah ha, that is a first for me.
@specialed63573 жыл бұрын
My apologies if you were joking, but those were the air-conditioning units with the fans inside them that are often raised above the roof on stilts. Majority of large buildings have those. However I've seen shipping containers (besides also seeing the air conditioning units as well) sometimes raised on stilts with metal stairways attached to them to access normal sized doors on the sides at both ends, on roofs of hospitals. Don't know if they are for storage of roof maintenance tools, electrical pannels, or all the above, etc... I first seen them when I was visiting my mom in the patient bed tower part of the hospital looking down on the rest of the entire hospital. I just looked at the satellite view and google earth where it shows the airplane type view for more detail close up. Of the four nearby hospitals, the one that is owned by a different company didn't have any shipping container like buildings on their roof. The three that are owned by the same medical group all had them on the roofs so it might just be something that particular medical company does and isn't normally on the roofs of other buildings or hospitals. Also the container type buildings are different sizes so none of them, or at least not all of them were actual shipping containers. They just look like shipping containers due to most of them having the same rectangle shape, size, and being built with all metal just looking like shipping containers. At their main hospital I count 4 identical (as far as I can tell) rectangle boxes that are shipping container like, that have two metal stairways leading to two doors that are on the side and on the same side next to both ends... ######## ######## D D There is another one that isn't on stilts, it's directly on the roof, and doesn't have any stairways or doors but one end is open (it might have mesh covering) and the other end has two exhaust pipes going into the old original brick chimney so that's probably a generator. Then there are a couple others of various shapes and sizes some with pipes going in and out of them, and I'm not counting the normal air-conditioned units on stilts, elevator shaft buildings that stick up on roofs, etc...
@Tugabud23 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the clarification, I'd still like to believe that there was a bus on that roof...adds to the mystery of the building... :-)

I could go on but if the owner said it was pulled ... then it was.... takes weeks to ready a building for demolition.... no tower building in the world had collapsed before or since 9/11 from fire.... then 3 in one day ..the fact the BBC reported its collapse 20mins before it collapsed and its still standing there behind the reporter until they lose the satellite feed by coincidence...strangely enough after 20 years the same reporter for bbc is spinning us bullshit questions to the government about covid...I suppose you think the media is telling us the truth about covid too.... too many gullible people in the world who swallow this bullshit ...you’re the problem

@alexanderpytko53943 жыл бұрын
Well, the truth is, the hijackers were probably thinking the plane crashes would make the towers collapse instantly as we see with the buildings in this video but they were built too strongly for that. But the fires in the towers softened the metal causing them to eventually collapse. You might say with the towers, it was delayed collapse. But it's a good thing the towers were built too strongly to collapse instantly. If they had, the death toll might have been 10 times bigger... at least! All the people in the towers would've died with no time escape. Not to mention, the people all around the buildings might have been killed too.

Wrecking balls and dynamite: Two things you'll never see in a building demolition in Canada. (Wrecking balls were replaced by "the claw" decades ago: a crane with jaws that just grabs portions of the wall and pulls or crushes it.) (Dynamite is of course way too loud and way too dangerous to be used in urban areas.)

wow disappointed you didnt have the most famous one which some phantom CGI planes hit - one of the best explosives demolition of tall buildings of any kind seen followed by the smaller building next to them performing the same way, Im sure people know which ones, quite obvious its a good classic example of using explosives to take down tall buildings

It never ceases to amaze me-how the local authorities involved with these events do not require the area around the buildings to be “fire-hosed” (or-if the building is large enough, sky-hosed) to dampen down the dust. People downwind have to breathe in that shit for days.
