@@goranloncar9976 Sure, but something is lost. You watch the performance through your phone since you have to keep the phone steady and watch your shot. Hate to tell you this, but humans aren't nearly as good at multitasking as we think we are. It is a travesty that people can't experience something in the moment without thinking "wait, I have to catch this on my phone and share it on social media to get likes". Sure, I fully realize the irony that I could not watch this video without all these people filming it on their phones. But, I still think it's very sad and shows how detached from the world we have become. We have become so used to it that most people don't even notice how bizarre this behavior actually is.

The best thing would be if you could enjoy the moment without phones and then later on download a video of the show you have been to. In good video and audio quality.

No raising them above your head, blocking others' views and distracting other audience members with those bright screens. Only if the device is held closely in front of your face with the brightness at it's lowest level will you be allowed to "film".

This video is actually so sad. All I see in the public is a bunch of phones recording the performance. This is where we are at. Instead of being in the moment and just enjoying the magic of being part of a great performance, people seem more interesting in getting likes on social media. Yes, I realize the irony that I could not watch this performance without all those people recording it on their phones. Still, I think it's sad and really shows how detached from the real world we have become as a species.

I get what you are saying, and I tend to agree more than disagree. It’s kind of annoying going to a show, and everybody is holding up their cellphones. On most days, I’m a grumpy cynical pessimist. But today, I am going to offer a different perspective: people like to keep mementos for the things they experience in life. 5 years from now, some of those people will open up that video on their phone, and being able to watch it is a nice little reminder of a night having a good time. If I went skydiving (I wouldn’t, because the parachute would fail on me) I would surely want to be wearing a Go Pro camera on my helmet. It would be a memory I could relive whenever I want to: just turn on the video. I highly doubt I would be able to just go skydiving whenever I get the urge to experience that feeling again. Just as concert goers can’t just go watch their favorite artist perform whenever they want to. But they can turn on their video and “re-live” the experience. I wouldn’t be able to watch the video and re-live my skydiving experience though. The parachute wouldn’t open, and I’d be too dead to watch my death again.

The first time I saw Extreme was in 1992 at a festival called Hollywood Rock. I have many concerts in my memory... Nowadays I try to reconcile between enjoying the concert and recording some moments that I think are cool to remember. Age is coming, memory is not so good... lol

Last weekend I attended a local concert, and it was so strange. Half of the audience just stood there still with their phones in the air like zombies, while my crew was grooving and really digging the music. To me it resembled a fucking classical concert. Not my cup of tea, but each to his own.

I can easily watch the show while recording, it doesn't bother me at all, and it really is a way of reminding me how great the show was. I watched several concerts in the 90s that I don't remember how it was, which songs were played... I remember it being good or bad, but I wanted to relive those moments and I can't. And you can be sure, when you go to a concert and a few years go by, the videos of people who like me manage to enjoy the concert and still record with our phones, will help you remember these cool moments... so, before If you judge me, ask me how it was to watch the show, if recording bothered me or not... Everyone has their own way of enjoying themselves, don't want me to think the same as you or a lot of people who think they own the truth. I don't care what you think or how you think, it's not going to change anything about me, it's just going to make me realize how there are people who waste time criticizing others instead of minding their own business...
