Truth! We used to have pit fights years ago. Saturday night twice a month, most of the time, (weather permiting). That gave fighters Sunday to recuperate before Monday morning work and time between fights. That was when most everyone worked for a living and cell phones weren't around. Word of mouth was the advertising. New fighters showed up most every time, but grudge matches were or seemed best. Funny how the most unsuspecting people can bust a head or 3. A specific truck driver comes to mind. Unassuming guy who looked like your average Joe. Boy could he throw hands! Seen a few quit before end of 1st round. Today someone would get shot. Most of those guy's shook hands and had a beer while watching the next fight. Sorta like cock, (roosters) fighting.

In a street fight style fight straight punches will always be better than hooks or looping punches. Straight punches are also faster for most people, and hit harder. Also make it easier to be accurate and pick your shots.

I'm fully switching to BKFC from gloved boxing. The structure is a lot better with 5 rd max. It's a lot safer for fighters than 12 rounds.

Rumsey's tough and game but his lack of fitness and conditioning is shocking. He managed a round before his tank was empty and he was running on fumes. Needs to lose a minimum 4 stone. Losing that weight and improving his fitness will make him an immeasurably better fighter and improve his punch resistance.

I think most people won't like my comment but I'm going to make it. This fight should have been called earlier; Rumsey started the fight pretty poised and on his game, he looked a little off by the 3rd round, by the 4th round he looked like he hand been pounding hard liquor all day. I'm all for letting people fight it out but somebody should've checked this guy out. Head injuries are serious business.

HIs boxing coach lives in another country. They trained over video calls. His coach would watch the live broadcast and talk to him over the phone between rounds on the headset. They didn't have enough money to bring him stateside for the fights.

lewis wanted to be the aggressor, but there was a lot to look out for such as bobo's single hit power and bobo looked comfortable going in and out of the pocket at times. you cant go wrong watching heavyweight collision course-ers.
