As close as they can be. Not sure if you have messed around with huge emulator cabinets of this magnitude, but it doesn't matter who's building it, who manages the software etc, you will always run into the occasional game here and there that might give you a hassle. 50TBs and dozens of emulators mixed with third-party software from different developers is as good as it gets. And sometimes they just don't play well together. For the most part, I have an overtly plug-and-play experience.

$3500-5000 for one of these pedestals and they are putting a sub $200 RTX 3050 in the computer... You gotta be braindead to see that as a good deal.. That card is absolute trash.
@csrival31526 ай бұрын
As someone who makes these machines in large quantities, the price is totally justified. The curated games on the drive is worth the cost alone. Hours and hours get spent updating and curating these libraries, sourcing artwork and making everything play nicely together. Add the build materials and electronics into this mix and the cost is totally worth it. You might be able to save $1000-$1500 if you DIY.
@zeo7976 ай бұрын
"Good deal" is subjective to the quality of work someone could do themselves. Also it is worth mentioning to upgrade to a better gpu and cpu is pretty cheap. It really depends on what you want, if you are just going for retro arcade and emulation a 3050 is all you will ever need.

Consider that in addition to all of the things that others listed above, a company has to price these things to cover the overhead of employees, utilities, r&d, and other hidden costs of having a business. Far too often, I see comments like this and it immediately tells me that people have no idea how much it takes to keep a business operational.
@thepenultimateninja57976 ай бұрын
@@JB-tp6ujI think it's because most people in this hobby are capable of doing all of this stuff themselves, so it seems difficult to justify paying someone else to do it. They aren't going to work for free, and they have overheads to cover.
