Hey James!! It’s so nice to meet you!! I’m glad you’re here! Whew 😅 two teens ♥️ I have one teen girl and two toddler girls so the time will come soon that I will have two teens too. What brand detergent are you using? I use plant based laundry detergent because I want some scent. We are a family with sensitive skin too so it’s the only thing outside of sensitive unscented that we don’t have reactions to. I used to use sensitive (unscented) when my daughters were born. Is yours unscented?

I use a brand called Shotz in New Zealand. And yes it is unscented. I may try a natural laundry powder with a scent. When I run out. I do my laundry down at a laundromat. Nice to meet you and your family.😀

You mentioned you were having issues with smelly towels. Try adding an extra rinse when you wash them. I personally always add an extra rinse to every cycle and maybe you should too since I noticed you wash very large loads. Two rinses likely isn't enough to get all that laundry thoroughly rinsed.

I keep forgetting to check the links in your videos for the things I need to buy. I bought some lavender scented Seventh Generation Laundry Detergent on Amazon. The ECOS detergent worked great for me and never agitated my skin. I hope Seventh Generation will work the same way for me

yeeees 🙂 I LOVE our front load washer. I also love it so much because I'm short and i can reach and get all the clothes out 😊 A while back, our washer broke and the repair man for Samsung came to fix it. He'd taken extra time to show me all the ins and outs of using the machine properly and ended with telling me that although there is a dispenser that it's better to put it directly into the machine. His reasoning was that I wouldn't get soap stains on my clothes and i'd use the accurate amount of soap (considering if i'm not pouring directly into the dispenser and not using a measuring cup). I didn't listen and after so many soap stains i started placing the soap into the drum and I hadn't had a stain yet.

It's a really good idea to use unscented skin products if you happen to have a genetic disposition for allergies, too. I have a friend whose girls all ended up getting eczema when they were little. She had a difficult time finding products that wouldn't irritate their skin. I gave her some ideas because I've had eczema, myself, although on a much smaller scale than they were dealing with. Scented products (especially flowery scents) would always cause eczema on my hands. I have hay fever and year round allergies, so it seems I'm prone to allergic responses like eczema. Highly scented products also give me headaches and make my throat and ears hurt. I believe scented products may have even been responsible for the acne I had as a teen. I think some of it, at least, was in response to allergens.

I love your comment ♥️ Thank you. I found that some scented products seem to be ok for us but it seems to be only if it’s plant based, except for Mrs. Meyers laundry detergent. Mrs. Meyers is plant based but definitely causes a reaction for us. We don’t get rashes but we become VERY itchy. I have never thought about the response of throat and ear allergies as a reaction before though. We do have that going on often. You definitely have gone through a lot with having eczema and triggers, wow. That would be nerve racking to have and to find an overall solution for the triggers. I’m glad you figured out what works for you and shared your advice. I’m so grateful ♥️🤗 I’m glad you’re here!!

@@myranda_achvan Thank you, too, for sharing your videos. And honestly, eczema, etc isn't too big of a deal for me compared to my friend whose little ones all suffered a lot more from eczema. It was a nightmare for her! Thankfully, her kids seemed to grow out of it or gained a tolerance to more products during their development. The throat and ear pain is a strange response to scented products. I feel it immediately when I smell something with too strong of a floral scent. I also have the same response with secondhand cigarette smoke. Thanks for your tip about plant based scented products, too. I'll have to look into that further... especially for soaps and detergent. 🙂

I Love Ecos lavender. My Laundry smells good I have noticed you don’t use the liquid downy or anything in your wash machine. Why’s? You do used dryer sheets

I do use the dryer sheets which adds some softness and helps to prevent friction and static but I don’t use softener. I don’t use softener because I have gotten bluish and grayish stains on my clothes occasionally from using it in the washer.
