we painted the ceiling black in one of the rooms in our basement. it made the ceiling seem to disappear! We love it. I was a little nervous at first thinking it would make the room seem small, but it did the opposite. I really like it. Also, this room had exposed HVAC duct work, and the black paint helped so much at "hiding" this eyesore.

I JUST did a laundry room makeover and it’s finally finished after two weeks (we originally planned for 2 days) But two weeks later and 20 trips to Home Depot, it’s finally finished! Yours looks so good! Love that tile

Love the idea to use a lazy susan on top of a front-loading washer/dryer. I’m actually quite partial to top-loading machines myself :) but if I ever have a front-loader, I’ll try to remember this!

It looks great!! We did similar tiles in our powder room & plan to add white board+batton. I've been pondering about the top wall color, as I wanted a soft greenish gray....so, escape gray it is! 😁 Thank you for the inspo 😊

I love the lazy Susan on top on the washer I like to keep my products handy too I just think you need to find like pouring containers and a container for your shout sheets and top it off with your circuit labels p.s you and your husband did an more than amazing job I love the patience he has with his pregnant wife I think that when we are pregnant we get more ideas to do stuff 😂😂

I love the laundry room makeover. Especially the tile. I have the same washer and I have a question, do you have a problem with your washing machine smelling after each load? I constantly have to drain the water and it will still smell by the next morning. Thanks!

Thanks Michele! We have had it for 6 years and just recently we have an issue with smell. It doesn’t smell after each time but every once in a while it will. When we drain the water it smells awful. I’ve had to do self clean a few times and since we took it out and put it back in I haven’t had the issue so far..

We are definitely NOT DIY-ers. Every project we’ve tried SOMETHING has gone wrong and we always had to be happy with the less-than-perfect finished product. Now, mind you, that’s only been an outside fence and a small patio with paver stones, so neither one is a HUGE deal, but doing anything like what you guys do? No thank you. I love my husband but he is horrible with DIYs.
