I have five kids (3 boys) and totally understand about how hard it is to keep things clean & picked up. Boys just get their hands/feet all over everything! You’ll look back on kid chaos days & be glad you spent your time with them instead of being a slave to the house. It’s just a constant juggling act.

It is a constant battle, but that's why I do it when they are in school, so we have time together when they are home. And that's why the rest of the house isn't spotless, because when they're home, I neglect most of it to be with them. It's really hard. X

Try an IKEA sectional. I bought one a few years ago and I purchased a spare set of sofa covers. You can throw them in the washer and they come out really clean. It’s a bit of a pain to switch them out but the sofa always looks new. I also purchased a set of throws for the seats of the sofa. Now I hardly ever switch out covers I simply wash the doggie seat protectors that I got on Amazon. I love this sofa, it was inexpensive and it’s held up through the dog and the granddaughter.

Great video. My Mother's Day I was upset all morning due to my Mum passed away 5 years ago and I'm always upset Mothers day morning. But well I have 7 kids and jeez they spoilt me, one of them made a card that had all 7 together (sort of) plus my 3 dogs, it's 2 now sadly. And even my grand daughter is on it. Sadly my grandson isn't but my son did apologise about that. Im gonna frame the card, I had flowers, chocolates, money, sweets and some craft items. I was spoilt. Xx

Totally get you on the sofa, I got a new teal one from dfs and anxiety it gave me was ridiculous, trying to keep the cat off of it and nagging my fam to be careful with it. I ended up selling it and buying a leather one from British Heart Foundation, it's nice enough but not so nice I get anxious trying to keep it that way, honestly no new sofa is worth the price of peace 😄

You did amazingly for one of those s*%t÷ days. Don't let the house get to you, I know it's easier said than done and I am the same. But as of this weekend, no more, I'm getting up and doing what brings me joy and I'll get to sorting the house in tiny bits at some stage. My lovely friend passed away this weekend, she was only in her 20's, had a young family. She literally just died on the spot while standing. I am not wasting another moment, f+÷k the cleaning, house and stress. Be kind to yourself, sending a big hug xx
