I haven't picked up your tab book yet, but I just want to say thank you for making it spiral bound. It's nice to have when you're working through a piece of music and the book isn't constantly wanting to close back up forcing you to grab a tuner or metronome to hold the pages down, especially on a music stand that has limited space.

Hey Malcolm, i'm sure you won't remember but the little octave-melody-or-whatever at 8:17 is the one i (male/brutally handsome/grey hair/wonky teeth) tried to tell you about when we talked for 45 seconds after your gig on a cold december night in 2019 in munich/germany ^^ The same night i compared hand-sizes with Dean Lamb, lol. Well, anyway. I know it seems like an insignificant little melody compared to all the insane, high speed, sweepy stuff but i love it and probably forever will :)

Malcolm - When someone is learning how to do speed or sweep picking, what is the best way to build up speed if you hit a wall? I have tried playing to a metronome but get "topped out" 20+ bpm short even if I practice for weeks. Is there ever merit to just trying to play fast without a metronome and cleaning up the technique later? How do you build speed if you hit a wall? I bought the tab books but can't play fast enough 😂
