I've been on a sliding scale of minimalism, when I first started I counted 43 items I owned, that included 15 pencils 😅 but I was moving constantly. Now that I've been stable in my living situation, I don't know how much I own by the number but everything would fit in maybe 2 suitcases. I love living this way because I get more breathing space to think and function while I deal with a chronic illness. So 🎉 congrats!! And enjoy living your life

In an emergency will you have enough food? I worry because during the Pandemic we couldn’t go out shopping and delivery was several weeks or months in some cases! It was so bad that when my uncle broke his ankle (aunt doesn’t drive) I had to MAIL toilet tissue to them because it was faster that a store order even with me being in another state! Just saying! I’m clearing my home out too!

That plant is a bit messy for the table, maybe hang it and get a tidier thing for the table. Kitchen looks nice and clean though thumbs-up.

As a minimalist you don't need a kettle. You can boil water on the stovetop.

As a minimalist, you can still have a kettle!

But then you've got a pot out and it takes longer , especially if you want hot drinks for multiple people.... Kettles are ❤

@@tryinghardminimalistmiss dont torture yourself with downsizing to the extreme. You can treat yourself to a kettle or even a coffee pot if you want

You don't have to be so extreme, unless you have anxiety issues. Live your life the way you see fit. There are no rules for minimalism. @@tryinghardminimalist

This is every hotel room that I have stayed in.... I don't have a problem with minimalism, but if you don't put your personality into it, it just looks and feels like a hotel room and I wonder if you have anything enjoyable going on in your life? Seems like you are more worried that someone has left something out on the table or benches and because of your OCD you must clean it up asap! You might be missing what minimalism is all about... I wouldn't want to visit you in your hotel room house....
@tryinghardminimalist Жыл бұрын
Honestly it get messy too and it’s ok. I love minimalism because it’s easier for me to clean and arrange. Im a hoarder and messy person 😔.
@PeterMilanovski Жыл бұрын
@@tryinghardminimalist I personally don't like the word minimalism, it seems to imply a sterile lifestyle. I'm as far removed from minimalism at the moment as possible as I have become a hoarder and I have been thinking about how I'm going to de-clutter which is a far more appealing word for me. It's a working process which I will get there eventually.
@simply.k357311 ай бұрын
I love a clean and neat home without clutter too, but being an EXTREME minimalist shows that you have some psychological issues, which needs medical attention like someone who has hoarding disorder (on the opposite end of the spectrum) @@tryinghardminimalist

@@simply.k3573i disagree, many buddhists live off nothing and are happy living in peace let her live hoarding is disgusting she is a materialistic person in this capitalist world it should be celebrated
@djlivvy463 ай бұрын
The kitchen is more of a functional room though. Also, recovering hoarders have to be careful with how many items we own because it is so easy to slip back into our former habits.
