As someone who has taught kindergarten, the reason the teacher would have those things in their pocket is because they were things the kids smuggled in and the teacher had to confiscate them, or they are things the children found on the ground and said, “Teacher, teacher! I found this!” Teacher says , “Thank you!” Puts it in the pocket and continues teaching. Even the screws. You cannot imagine the amount of times I or my kids have found random screws on the classroom floor. I don’t know where they come from, but they keep showing up.
