Daniel, it's spectacular, georgous, dreamy..... In my younger years I had a home with a huge backyard (live in a redwood forest now). It was a new home so we started from scratch. My husband designed a beautiful backyard and we filled it with over a 100 roses, all varieties of lavender, daylilies, beautiful sweeping and flowing grasses.....etc. I loved our back yard it was so colorful, magical and filled with birds, butterflies to bees and love. Big tip from a family of renters! Plant all your expensive/favourite plants in pots then bury in the ground so you can dig up the pots and take with you to your next rental 💜

I recommend horse buckets for hauling the mulch up the hill, I'm not saying that the hardside of tubby didn't work. They're like semi firm rubber with handles so it makes a lot easier when you're carrying stuff. Super easy to wash out and use for other things later on always keep a couple on hand for gardening myself. Your dining area with the upper and lower slope looks so beautiful, I can't wait to see what it looks like when things grow more.
