EXTREME PANTRY MAKEOVER! PANTRY DEEP CLEAN, DECLUTTER, + ORGANIZE | FUNCTIONAL PINTEREST PANTRY

Hey friends! 👋🏼
Today I'm sharing how I transformed my pantry into something that was 100% functional for our family of 5 and be Pinterest worthy at the same time! As we all know, the process of organizing your pantry can be very overwhelming and you want the time that your pantry is pulled apart to go as quick as possible. Therefore prep is literally going to be our foundation!
When I was coming up with my game plan, I sat in front of my pantry and took inventory. What do I want to keep? What are we not using? How many of each item do I need to store? A great tip is to collect random bins from around your house. If you don’t have any on hand, Dollar Tree is a great option! Along with Amazon, target, and Wal-Mart! I'll include links to my favorites below!
Before we jump in and start tearing our pantry apart, PREP! Gather supplies, take inventory, and clear surfaces around your work space.
This can be done right before, or weeks before. Up to you!
5 STEP BREAKDOWN
Step 1: Take everything out. Have a LARGE garbage bag on hand if your pantry looks like mine.. lol
Step 2: Clean - Quick or deep, up to you!
Step 3: group like items and think about placement. Do you reach for an item in a certain place?
Step 4: CONTAIN
Step 5: put everything BACK

Protip for decanting..... cut a 2 liter soda bottle with 4 to 5 inches to use as a funnel for the finer food. For wider food a juice bottle or Arizona ice tea bottle has a wider opening. 💕

Love it! Mom you need clothespins on those bags of chips and cereal I used to put them on new bags to remind users to put the clothespins back on once the bag was opened it works ..and saves you money 😊

This was really great. I have a pantry that is such a disorganized mess..I keep up on expiration dates but it could be so much more efficient. I close a clothes pin on my chip bags or buy the small snack pack ones.

I definitely need to pick up more clips! It took me 6 years to organize my pantry in our last house and in this house I only made it 5 months since I knew what I was missing out on 😂🙈 It’s insane how much better everything flows! You won’t regret it! My biggest tip is to plan it all out. I literally sit in front of my pantry with a pen and paper and jot down all of the categories. It helps when it comes time to pull everything out. That’s the part that always overwhelms me!

I’m trying so hard to minimize our belongings… My husband and I really don’t buy toys outside of birthdays and Christmas, but I do have 2 sisters and a brother, plus the grandparents that give them special gifts too, so the toys come from many families. Along with hand me downs from siblings.

Thank you! I feel strongly about teaching healthy habits and having a balanced diet. I don’t want them to grow up thinking I restricted them, causing them to binge on all the things “they weren’t allowed to have”. With this being a pantry clean out, it’s all the dry goods/snacks. I keep fruits, veggies, string cheese, yogurt, etc in the fridge at all times. All things in moderation. ❤️

It's all about balance! 🙂 I don't want my kids to feel deprived of certain foods to where they grow up to binge on them because "they weren't allowed to have them" as kids. The fridge is full of fresh fruits + veggies 💚

They sure do! We’ve moved 3x in the last 9 months, so I’m hoping to get routines and habits settled soon. I can see what we have now, so there’s no need for this much excess.
