@The Nerve Ensemble I'm just trolling, I do LOVE Nuno, he's a monster player, I just don't care for this song... the chorus imo sounds very Fall out Boy - like... I'm a bit of a snob with these bands. I always want them to sound like they did in the 80s, and though Extreme was early 90s they, imo, still sound like 80s rock/metal...

Nuno definitely showing love for the great one, Eddie Van Halen... before Eddie's passing he stopped by to visit with Nuno and Gary and wanted to hear what they were up to... Nuno wouldn't play it because it wasn't finished, sadly Eddie passed shortly after that...in a world without Eddie...Nuno Bettencourt is a blessing.

Nuno Bettencourt is now 56 years of age and Gary Cherone is now 61 and both are at the top of their game. When I first heard this I was pleasantly surprised indeed! Nice to hear Extreme back at it!

I love how younger players have discovered Nuno and realize there's so much you can do on the guitar. Hopefully we hear more solos and more guitar tricks. We've badly needed them for quite some time now.

Nuno is ALWAYS Phenomenal! Gary sounds better then I thought he would, and nobody BUT NOBODY, harmonizes like Gary, Nuno and Pat!

Pat has an AMAZING voice. There are some clips of him, Nuno, and some house musicians (I believe) at some little place singing Don't Stop Believing and it's great. There are also a lot of clips floating around of Nuno at Lucky Strike in Hollywood just jamming and playing covers with some incredible musicians. At different times he brings up people like Steve Vai, Richie Kotzen, & Tom Morello just to name a few. It's incredible to watch and you can find them all here on KZbin

I saw this band in a bar in Boston when they were called The Dream. Someone already had claim to that name, so they changed it to Extreme, a clever word play on 'ex dream.' unfortunately Nuno wasn't in the band at the time, just the other 3 guys.

Sounds like Warren DiMartini one minute then EVH, then Nuno then Stryper Oz Foxx! That effect at 3:50 was done by Steve Stevens of Billy Idol (Do not Stand in the Shadows). All the mind blowing solos are on Shrapnel. Check out “Maximum Security” by Tony MacAlpine. 😳

Rise is a song birthed when Stone Temple Pilots (Silvergun Superman) and Blue October (Daylight) had a baby that was delivered by Eddie Van Halen. God bless Nuno (one of the best and needs more recognition) - that tremolo picking is demonic.

He played those for about a minute. I saw the band play at a very small venue circa 2012 and Nuno had the Randalls on stage and you could clearly see Marshall heads behind them. He’s been playing JCM2000s for years.
