QOTD: I am a Garchomp main with 79% winrate on chompy boi on over 400+ battles. I really only use one build with the Ground Moveset: Buddy Barrier, Muscle Band, Weakness Policy with Full Heal. Since Garchomp relies mainly on its basic attacks for damage, I think this moveset is one of the best and also might be underrated. imo Garchomp is the only Pokemon where weakness policy is actually viable. This build focuses mainly on increasing damage while being a good tank thanks to the extra HP from buddy and weakness pol. Muscle helps with the basic attacks and the ground build with full heal provides good support for team fight along with dig making you tankier so you can demolish opponents with your basic

I like running weakness policy, rocky helmet and focus band. Got a 207k game using it. Far more reliant on teammates/support. And getting ahead early though Even being one lvl ahead makes it difficult for ppl to put you down.

I very much love both of Lucario's builds, ESpeed and Bone Rush is good for getting strong team wipes thanks to ESpeed's reset, and PuP + Close Combat is super good for clearing objectives and taking down tankier Pokemon Overall, I'm so very happy with Lucario in this game, my favorite character of all time gets so much love here and I couldn't be happier

QOTD: I like to use Eldegoss with the item build of muscle band, special attack specs, and score shield with a full heal for cc protection. Stacking with this build will not only boost the damage of its moves like leaf tornado, but it also increases the healing off of pollen puff and cotton guard. If you like to use stacking items, give this one a shot as it's pretty fun.

You've got to remember that, at the end of the day, even if it's a ranked match, this is just a game. Games are meant to be played and have fun. You don't have to perform perfectly every match because this is not a job. It can definitely get frustrating, specially because this game depends on team synergy, but try to enjoy the grind. Instead of getting angry at your mistakes, just laugh and learn from them. I know this is easier said than done, but the attitude change will be worth it as you'll be able to improve while still enjoying (most of) your matches.

@@ChamAramis You're not wrong, but "it's just a game" is a very unsatisfying answer to me. Knowing intellectually that I shoudn't get tilted over a game never once stops it from happening to me. I think it goes deeper than that. I'm not sure what the answer is here, but I suspect for me it has something to do with knowing I could have done better or the team could have done better, and the frustration comes from failing to perform. There's probably more to it than that. I'd like to learn more about this

To me, the only other build that's more fun than the extreme speed combo, is Talonflame brave bird. But as far as movesets that aren't as popular, I still love solar beam Venusaur. Even though that darn sniper bird makes it useless.

In regards to your question about builds I love running flail block snor with x speed and the tank item setup of buddy barrier, score shield and focus band. It's quite enjoyable to be scary in terms of damage while also being able to make some nasty block plays with x speed, blocking people from stealing zap by being able to wall off the east entrance is amazing

QOTD: I still hold an insane amount of love for Grassy Glide / Triple Axel Tsareena. It was nerfed into the ground compared to its Stomp set, but it still feels so fluid in terms of movement and playstyle.

As lucario is my favorite pokemon, I am a lucario main myself, I started out loving to use extreme speed and bone rush and I currently use your power up punch build and like it a lot, and I have a ton of fun using the high damage cinderace build as well, I’m definitely gonna try out this build!

I love muscle, special specs, score shield on trick Hoopa. Building up the special attack makes the trick shield huge making it easier to score, and the extra damage from shadow ball is nice

I run PetalDance Venu with Muscle Band, Choice Specs, and Wise Glasses. The sheer damage is insane as you can constantly be using auto attacks and getting muscle band procs, and giga drain gets a low cooldown off of Petal Dance to be proccing the Choice Specs passive quite often. More Special Attack means more healing as well, so you entire a pseudo-tank state that trades part of Buddy Barrier's protection for a much higher damage output. Been running this for a very long time and have never had a bad result. Also makes early lane a breeze if you can combo with some good CC and/or damage.

Pre-13 my Lucario combo would be ESpeed > Bone Rush > ES > ES(only if necessary or escaping)/Reactivate BR, After 13 it would now be ES > Bone Rush > ES > Reactivate BR > ES > ES(only if necessary or escaping). On the last part you could also cast your Unite Move to gain another reset of ESpeed. Hope this helps people those who want get the most out of this Lucario moveset. For QotD: On Lucario my favorite build is ESpeed + Close Combat. Aside from sentimental value (it's the moves I used when playing Gen 4), ES+ increases your damage on cast so going in on ES > CC will give you maximum damage on your CC. However it also makes CC easier to dodge compared to PuP + CC.

I have mained Lucario for months and I have loved Extreme Speed from the beginning. I have never been much of a fan of Power-Up Punch, personally. There was a short period recently when I tried PUP, but I eventually went back to ESpeed. I also played Bone Rush for a long time and I thought it was great. When Close Combat got buffed to have a lot of lifesteal, I tried it and I was hooked! Now I am personally disappointed any time I accidentally pick Bone Rush at level 7. So I am not sure if it counts as off meta, but I play Lucario with Extreme Speed and Close Combat. I have tried probably every reasonable held item on Lucario and I found running Buddy Barrier as the third item has felt the best (Score Shield and Attack Weight in slots 1 and 2). Unfortunately, Lucario's Unite Move is a tad underwhelming . So I feel that Buddy Barrier helps me make a bigger impact with my Unite Move in team fights.

This was how I was around when CC got healing buff. Used to pull some big healing number with ESpeed CC. Now I just go PUP; don’t know exactly when I changed or why, but I just prefer it’s secure for objectives. I also run buddy barrier, but I don’t use score shield. I feel like I get more out of two damage items and buddy for the end game fight

I think the thing with E-Speed and Bone Rush is that potentially, you can deal more damage than with E-Speed and CC, but it comes with the risk that you may miss one hit and lose the reset. CC on the other hand is usually a sure hit and deald pretty decent damage.

I absolutely love my Trevenant Pain Split/Curse. The build for it is Attack Weight, Weakness Policy, Muscle Band. Definitely not the popular set up but it is so much fun throwing people into death matches. Not always but when it does pop off it is one of my favorite Pokémon to play.

This is just perfect. I'm actually thinking about picking up Lucario, since the pokemon I usually play with usually have a rough laning phase, so I thought, if everyone on my team are pokemon mediocre at laning (especially if we have something like Cinder/Gre/Decidueye altogether), I think I should pick a melee lane monster, i.e., someone who can tank AND dominate the lane (as oppose to, say, Charmander, my usual pick). *QotV:* Hmm, does Outrage Dragonite count? Hyper Beam is pretty much the way to go due to the objective secure, but I always kinda prefer Outrage over Hyper Beam, maybe due to me playing all these bruiser/brawler pokemon. I just wish Dragonite's Extreme Speed would get a lower cooldown. As it stands it's still pretty easy to get away from an Outrage Dragonite.

Durulodon. Drain crown, attack weight, scope lense. 6 browns, 2 blues/ 2greens, or 2 blues and 2 whites, or 4 blues( maintaing hp & deff.)/ 4 greens ( maintaining spc att.). For dragon pulse build. This build allows you to heal on the move during Lvling up or in-between & during fights. Instead of returning to pads to heal. Solo play hp and deff is more important but if you have a beefy friend to tag team with maintaining positive att. & spc att. Yields better ko ability. I also use x att. To give me that boots to paint my targets faster/ with this in mind 3 reds might also be a viable option but since I don't use muscle band anymore I maintain positive att, spc att, hp and crit rate with my emblems

True. Muscle imo is superior to razor claw. It helps you to not only fight for objectives but also helps you to clear your camps fast. Razor claw is optimal, i prefer weakness policy cuz it helps with bulk and some extra damage in team fights but razor can also work but you need to be constant with stacks if you want to take the full advantage of it.

I like using cross chop on machamp, close combat is popular as of now but for me i love the dash and the late game stacks on machamp which dealt insane damage on its basic attacks.

As far as uncommon builds, I’ve been running X Attack Talonflame with Razor, Muscle, and Buddy a lot. It’s probably overkill to be honest cause the score shield escape button build still one-shots most squishies but I like being able to pop x attack and get one-shots on mons that I probably shouldn’t like Luc and Tsareena. I loved to use Pyro Ball and Feint on Cinderace and the items I would use were (Attack weight, Buddy barrier and Muscle band) it really wasn't the best build but when you get fully stacked and don't die too quickly you do a lot of damage where to the point I can destroy a Crustle even with it's unite move

Tsareena with any dash (depends on the day and what I feel to play), triple axel and buddy barrier, focus band and weakness policy. I just start spinning and healing so much I can stay in a TF for a long time, and usually I end up with the higher recovery from my team

I use volt tackle and electroball Pikachu. It's not as useful in team fights as the thunder thunderbolt set, but it is extremely satisfying to see an opponent with low health try and run away from the electro Ball and fail because that ball follows people forever

Sometimes I'll mess around with an x speed belch/stuff cheeks greedent. Not sure which items work best on it, yet. Atk weight is always slot 1 and honestly any 2 picked from score shield, buddy barrier, focus band, muscle band or razor claw seeming to work well. I like the ability to throw stuff cheeks for an instant 2x belch or the option to more effectively provide heals. I find that the little speedup from stuff cheeks+x speed allows me to stay pretty elusive in the absence of covet.

For Decidueye, I like using muscle band (30), razor claw (30), and float stone (29) and I use Spirit Shackle/Shadow Sneak. I don’t know why I upgraded float stone that much LOL but I like it

Mammo with Attack Weight, Score Sheild, and Razor Claw. Using Smoke Screen, just get those fast stacks and stick with the Frost Fang combo. It's nasty, course Full Heal and Blissey can counter.

QOTD: Even though it got nerfed Discharge Zera still has a place in my heart for my first ever Pentakill. The one thing I like about it is that unlike the SparkCharge set which is more of a make or break set the DischargeSwitch set can give you a chance to escape if the situation has gone bad. In the current state of the meta its pretty decent, can still score some nice Quadras but not as good as PreNerf discharge.

i love playing Ice Fang Mamo even though people argue that Icicle Crash is better. i’m inclined to agree in terms of damage and team fight value, but Ice Fang is just such an effective move for isolating a squishy and it is especially brutal in the early game while you’re still in path. i love Ice Fang
