@@mavw1119 It applies to everything. But there's a bit less snobbery in mountain biking community than in many other sports and hobbies. You can always find a special case for any bike, and it will excel at it. You might not fly down the hill like these guys with bikes that cost about as much as a car, but cheap hardtail doesn't need to be carried or lifted up the mountain - you can just ride it up there ;)
