I had a Qooder In Italy for a week and I enjoyed it very much. The ride was lots of fun but I would add a couple of things I didn't like. Having to pull it back out of some parking situations in the city or rough terrains requires a hell of strength . This vehicle needs a reverse gear. One more point: to fill the tank you need to open up the seat and just a little spill would ruin anything personal that you keep inside that space.

A good review but the dealer should have made you aware that there is a tall screen option which is also adjustable with 2 clips. I have done 30,000 km on mine in just over 2 years. When fitted with the awning it is a brilliant commuter. It can do 140 km/h max, but remember the speedo can be up to 15% optimistic. A note on the lean angle. I have driven mine in the mountains outside Madrid and have pushed it to the limits. If you drive it actively, when you are leaning you press your foot down on the side that is leaning and push against the frame with you ankle, your weight will change the balance of the bike and the back will start to move laterally out in a controlled way, which will prevent you hitting the 45º stop and the back will push out and you will corner much tighter as the radius of curvature tightens. I learnt this while driving in the mountains and it makes a huge difference if your ankles are connected to the 2 foot points at the back of the running board. In this manner you can hold the bike and use your feet to control the turn angle and rate just like you do on a regular motorcycle with 2 wheels. Owners try this it really works.

Thank you for the review I feel you covered most of the positives and negatives of the machine. These machines were neve available in Australia where I live. I can see a place for them with either people who have never ridden and would like to but are unsettled by the 2 wheel option. The other market would be older riders who would like to keep riding but are finding it difficult to balance a bike. The main purpose of this machine I assume is as a commuter but in Australia bikes over 250 are expensive to put on the road so you would want to be able to do some touring as well. In my experience as a rider of bikes and scooters from 400 to 1700 engine in this machine is a bit too small for touring especially if you're going 2 up. I would like at least 500. I have a Suzuki Burgman 650 which is a great bike for commuting and touring. I agree with your comments regarding the screen. The standard one is useless. It needs to be much higher to offer wind protection. It might not matte on the daily commute but it does when touring. Thanks for uploading your review.
@ExtremeDeathman4 жыл бұрын
Well, it depends what roads you are touring on. In the Alps f.e. you hardly go over 80 kph, so touring there is a can do. In 'Straya however I can very well imagine that for the longer stretches of straight roads between the twisty bits it's a bit underwhelming.

What I did like was the nice roads . The Quadro has oodles of innovation ,it`s one of the most interesting road machines I`ve seen in a long time . It needs a roof then it would offer up some competition as a viable option, oh and some light weight doors to keep the rain off, and a screen wiper so you could see where you were going.
@ExtremeDeathman5 жыл бұрын
Oh, you just need to open your eyes to see where you are going. And a car won't lean into corners and needs more parking space and fuel. 😉
@flitsies5 жыл бұрын
@@ExtremeDeathman Not so the case there is the Carver which is considered a type of car which leans into corners but has three wheels and a roof and screen and doors plus a wiper to keep the screen clear, probably has heating as well. But this quad would benefit from a roof and the other stuff I mentioned cos one things that often really gets on your nerves is constantly getting wet, also if you are constantly stuck in traffic due to the vehicles size then a roof and a few comforts may be beneficial. I doubt it can get through traffic as easy as a two wheeler.

Just curious though, if it's so safe and you won't fall off it at all why bother to wear all that motorcycle gear, flip flops and straw hat seems the order of the day on a nice sunny day.
@ExtremeDeathman5 жыл бұрын
You still can crash. And by law you are required to wear at least a helmet.
@flitsies5 жыл бұрын
@@ExtremeDeathman Not in the UK, in the UK I also believe it is the same in Germany, the only open vehicle rider required by law to wear a helmet is the two wheeled motorcyclist. If you ride a leaning quad bike or trike under the law you do not need to wear a helmet as the law states two wheeled motorcycle riders must wear helmet, so you often see trike and quad bike riders without helmets in the UK. There is no requirement to wear a helmet or seat belt for 3 or 4 wheeled vehicles, only 2 wheeled motorcycles and mopeds. You don't even need a helmet on a bicycle only two wheeled motorcycles and mopeds. I often see trike riders and quads riding through London without helmets. So this bike if you don't like helmets would be a good alternative to a two wheeled motorcycle except for the motor used it really needs a good motor probably made by Honda or some company like that.

@flitsies5 жыл бұрын
@@dagandodd2002 For people who want to be that "safe ha ha" then it's much better to be in a tank. Only kidding, each to their own, myself riding something like this on a hot day I would without a doubt be helmetless, probably trainers as that's what I ride my motorcycle in anyway, and shorts, but I would also have to wear some industrial grade sunglasses ie safety glasses just for safety of course. But if I found myself worrying about being hit by something else I probably would just take the car out instead. Many people ride around without helmets on 3 and 4 wheelers because it's not illegal and it's no more dangerous than riding a bicycle around town, of course on fast roads a helmet is a must have, and probably some protective clothing if you got some.

The thing about why chinese make this cheaper besides a bit lower quality is that light vehicles are the bomb in china, tons of them mostly electric selling like hot cakes so scale economics kicks it fast vs western small companies that they introduce this things as kinda the novelty so they don't sell that much.
