I've been in mills in the US and in a host of manufacturing facilities in Europe, Mexico, India, Malaysia and China. I know we are seeing work in a developing nation but every time I see workers in conditions like this it turns my stomach. There is simply a different value attached to human life in different parts of the world and to have people working at such ridiculously high risk is appalling to me. It isn't a matter of if anyone dies in this type of plant but how many die a year.

It’s what passes for rebar over there, it’s low quality stuff with too much flex, definitely shouldn’t be able to put that tight a radius on medium or heavy rebar without it permanently deforming

Rebar is usually made of low grade steel unless in extreme epplications where higher strength and lighter weight are required. It isn't like cast iron but usually mild steel. Not great not terrible.

Have to be careful when wearing those long loose clothes while doing this! I'm not knocking the clothes, actually they look comfortable for taking a stroll down the street, but at this type of factory, I'd rather not.
