"Extremely low landing". As a 37 year commercial pilot, it has been my experience that all landings are conducted at extremely low altitudes.

I think it means that it's an extremely low landing over a crowded public place. The planes are so low over that beach that I could totally see someone there jumping up and being able to touch it as passing overhead.

The trick is to stall the plane just at the surface of the runway.

@@rjnolesRU NOT recommended. Any type of stall results in the loss of control. Watch some videos of military aircraft landing on aircraft carriers and the first thing you notice is just before the landing flair, they apply FULL power in case their tailhook does not engage the cable which is designed to slow the aircraft down to a complete stop.

How many ft is that from the road to the bottom tip of the rear gear? 15ft? I’d like to see these landing videos ranked from the lowest. This is definitely one of the lowest, but I think there’s an MD80 landing that’s about 12ft

if he's at 20 ft over the beach, he's going to crash short of the runway. he should be at about 50' over the runway threshold (zebra).

OTR trucker here: Several years ago I delivered a load of pipe to one end of the STL Airport while in full operation. I saw first hand many overhead landings such as this, but not THAT low. It still was a complete rush.

This just sends chills down my spine!! My husband served in the Navy on an aircraft carrier and he told me , how he'd get an adrenaline rush Everytime a fighter jet took off or landed... Now I understand it. The ultimate thrill !!! One of my favorite movies was Top Gun and I could almost hear the song 'Danger Zone' playing as this plane sped by. What made it even more special, is that the A319 is one of my favorite planes. These " baby" airplanes are so small but they sure can roar !!! 💥 ⚡✈️😊

Having just visited St Maarten about a month ago, All plane landings are this low because of the very short runway. Maho Beach was absolutely fun ! Can't wait to go back ! We stayed at the Sonesta Resort.
