Aaron Rogers has a 9.5 million home in Cedar Grove, N.J. It's got 8 bedrooms and 9 bathrooms; it has 10000 square feet. If this is average, I want to see what is rich.

To this day Gronk hasn't spent one penny of his NFL money, including signing bonuses and achievement incentives. He's been living off strictly his endorsement deals for like the last 20 years. That's discipline. That's impressive.

Put 5 million in a compound interest calculator at 10% per year over 10 years and after 10 years he would be earning 1 million in interest. This works for anyone who early in life can save and invest as much as possible. You can generally live a more comfortable life in later years.

All of those athletes that live under their means are pure humble geniuses. Just because you have deep pockets dont mean you have to spend it like water. No one really need a muti million dollar house or fancy cars or expensive jewelry. You you realize how the wotld really works all those thing makes you a target. Those expensive homes requires expensive upkeep that will dent you pockets immensely. You can live a good pleasant less stressful life as a regular Joe. A joe with millions in the bank. There are many wealthy people in the world thats been doing this all their rich lives. Many of whom you'd never know have it like that.

As a self made multi millionaire, I live a low key as well. I drive a 7 year old vehicle, which I got when my 14 year old previous vehicle started costing more to maintain than was worth it. My best friend has about 1/5 my net worth (yes, we talk about it) yet outspends himself regularly and is constantly stressed about it. I prefer not having that stress. He brags about flying first class or staying in 5 star hotels, yet to me that is just a huge waste of money for a very shot term of comfort. I WILL (not often) splurge for special occasions but it is the exception not standard. I don’t stay in sh*t hole hotels but comfortable enough (Marriott or Hilton) etc. He’s struggling to put his kids through college but my kids have had a fully funded 529 waiting for them for years. They will graduate debt free. I have a literally perfect credit score of 850 (as of last month anyways, it fluctuates slightly constantly).

I understand not spending excessive amounts on cars, clothes, partying, homes etc. but being too cheap to pick up restaurant tabs occasionally for team etc. is not acceptable when you are making millions more than teammates that are helping you shine. I know many athletes throw their money away by letting others take advantage but try to find a bit of charity while maintaining solventcy.
