As a French fry lover, I knew I would really enjoy this restoration. And I did! This is an excellent restoration, and your written comments are also very useful. This chipper must have been intended for restaurant/institutional use, it looks so heavy duty. The home use chippers I have seen in the US are much smaller and usually made of thinner stamped steel. On behalf of french fry and fish and chip lovers everywhere, you have my thanks. Regards from the snowy US west.

Wish I'd found your channel a month or so ago. I've just had a major clear out and threw a few old woodwork vices etc into a skip (may still have a couple lurking somewhere) that I would have been happy to donate to you for possible future projects. I believe I've still got some old hand saws and chisels hidden somewhere if that is something you would be interested in. The quality of your work is really awesome and it is really great to see restoration videos from a fellow brit. Looking forward to the next project!

Very nice job - congrats. Next project?: Modify the cutter by adding easily removable SS blades to optionally prepare thin ‘French Fries’. Personally I prefer old fashioned British chubby chips, but others will prefer the thinner fast-food alternate style. They also have the advantage of cooking faster.
