@@eSkateHub i believe it just means the battery communications port is having a hard time. because on the quick riot manual it says "please Check battery communications port" but yea every time i got over like 13 miles an hour i have to slow back down because if i continue to speed by it will disconnect flying me forward. and most definitely ill show you when its finished.

The issue with certain reviews is, we never get to watch a follow up 1000miles or a few years down the line. In other words, what do you feel about the same board now. Has the love for it died now 3 year later? if so, what rides & feel the same but, maybe with a little more range & still low budget like the Flex today? I weigh 230lbs by the way, I cherish range more than I do speed although I must admit I live in a hilly area so, a lil bit of power won't hurt.

Great review. the Exway Flex more flex than the Backfire G3? Does the Exway Flex (with hub motors) wobble less or more than the Backfire when riding between 20-22 MPH? Does one have better bushings than the other? I'm looking to buy my first board. No experience. Want a board that minimizes wobbling at those speeds.

Roads are pretty good in Finland and there is cycle path everywhere so wheels are not so big issue only size i have no clue with? Keep up the good work. Your hard work will payoff for sure! @eSkateHub4 жыл бұрын
Generally, a Li-Ion battery will get between 300-1000 cycles before you starting seeing a performance decline. I know that's a huge range, but it all depends on the quality of the cells. For Exway specifically, I'd like to believe they use better quality components, but with batteries, you just never know. I gave my Miles Dual to a friend who rode it almost everyday and the battery lasted about a year.

Hi. Just wanted to say this was a very helpful video covering some great points. I would have liked to hear how well the wheels do with small stones you get on the road. They are so annoying. And i was a little dissapointed at the end as would have like some real time footage of the riding. Listening to how you feel about it or narrated over. I dunno as i dont make vids :) Anyway. Good video
@eSkateHub4 жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate that. I'm always looking to improve my videos. I am starting to do more live riding footage and talking about the riding feel in my newer videos. I have another Flex video coming up which I'll be sure to include the riding footage in. As for the small stones, they're always going to be a little bit of a problem with street wheels. On the Flex in particular, riding over them at a slower speed is fine but as soon as you go to turn too hard on them, the back wheels slide out. This is where Cloudwheels would be great.

Pretty good review man. I was looking at this board but got discouraged due to its lack of "water resistance" and shorter warranty period. How is the freewheeling capability of the hub drives? is it doable when you are out of battery? Back to waterproofing- Although this is rated IP55, what do you think about it when compared to maxfind 4 pro? I am in need for some advice between the two!
@eSkateHub4 жыл бұрын
Freewheeling on the hub motors is pretty good. Obviously not as easy as on a traditional skateboard but you can definitely get away with it. It's waaaay better than on belt drives. Even though the Maxfind Max4 Pro has a higher water resistance rating, I really doubt that it is that good, because of the way the 'quick swap' battery system is designed. I'd say they are both comparable in terms of water resistance. The more important thing to know when riding in wet weather is the type of wheels. With the slick street wheels, you are going to slide all over the place with even a slight turn and could be very dangerous. If you think you're going to be riding in the wet a lot (I saw your other comment), you might want to consider something with AT wheels or Cloudwheels.

Hey man, watching this now. Reddit has been inundated recently with this serious riding security issue with many Exway boards where the board just decides to switch to reverse mode while you're accelerating and cruising at 30 km/h. Apart from this, did you ever manage to make a Zealot review? Cause you said in the comments it was coming soon, but I can't find it 😅 Thank you for your work!
@shenvega66884 жыл бұрын
Ok my man. You can only get one board. You don't have a car and you normally skate 5 miles to work everyday on your regular longboard. You like to skate hard and fast. The weather is incredibly temperamental, so water resistance is a must. Portability is always great. I have skate bag that just barely fits my 37" longboard. If need be, I will want to be able to take the E-board on the bus or the train. I like the portability of the X1 Pro, but I love the range of the Flex. What's your opinion? Which board would you choose? X1 Pro or the Flex?
@eSkateHub4 жыл бұрын
Hmmm... Personally, I'd probably got with a Flex Riot with 105mm cloudwheels. I prefer the Flex because I like to carve a little but I don't really do any sliding. The flexibility of the deck will be really comfortable for commuting. And the concave and deck flares give it a better turning circle. The only thing is the water resistance, I wouldn't really want to ride if it was too wet. Definitely not if it's raining. But that kind of goes for both the Flex and X1 Pro. Portability might be a tad better with the X1 Pro, but there's not too much of a difference. Is your skate bag a backpack? Or like a slim shoulder case? I'm just wondering if the Flex would fit in your bag.
@shenvega66884 жыл бұрын
@@eSkateHubTrue. Honestly, I think I will just keep my push deck for the portability and go with the Flex. I've got this old vans backpack that I've had for like 15 years. It's made for skate boards but my 37" push deck straps to it. Just barely, but securely enough for plane and train travel. It's my main "long distance" travel backpack because it's generous in size and It's got the waist strap support as well which helps takes the weight off your shoulders. I don't travel enough to get X1 Pro, and with the Flex, I can make my journey to and from work on one charge if need be. Maybe I can just remove the battery and then strap the deck if I need to travel or if I get caught in the rain.

@Jason-TheChad-Muska_circa19952 жыл бұрын
So what you're saying is unless you want a board that is quieter then there's absolutely no reason that you should be purchasing the board with the hub motors. Now I know he mentioned this but there's a reason why I didn't just list this As a reason for picking the hub setup over the riot setup And that is because $50 is not enough money to cause an individual to choose to purchase the cheaper model over the more expensive. I mean if you're looking at a product that has a value of $100 and then there's a secondary competing consumer product at a close to equal value that is $50 less than of course that's going to be a no-brainer. But we're talking about budget boards cost anywhere from 650 to $850 on average and $50 at that cost is really just irrelevant. So in conclusion I don't really see any reason as to why somebody would choose to not opt for the riots set up outside of wanting a quieter board or a motor that has less moving parts in some of which are exposed comparative to the other.

Yeah, sorry about that small bit of light stuttering. I'll sort that out in future videos. The _rated power_ of the motors are Hub 2x600W / Riot 2x750W and the _max power_ is Hub 2x1200W / Riot 2x1500W. The motors will run at the rated power for pretty much the majority of the time and bump to the max power only when necessary, like climbing really steep hills. Yeah those deck flares aren't everyone's cup of tea. I really like them because it makes turning so easy and I always know exactly where my feet are without looking down. But it's not for everyone.
