EYA Inde Ndinedi wa MARIA (I am Mother Mary's child)

EYA Inde Ndinedi wa MARIA sang by Fr. Augustine Kaliu (Ndi Mulungu Sounds) ... is a traditional song for the Catholic lay movement LEGION OF MARY (Legio ya Maria) that calls them as well as all Christians to be children of Mary and strive to be holy and help others to be holy.
The song title literally means: "I am Mother Mary's child. I am a member of the Legion of Mary that God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary sanctifies me and I sanctify others in turn"
In addition, the call to Holiness is for all Christians, thus "Be Holy as my Father is Holy". We are called to strive for Holiness by virtue of our Baptism. The water that washed our original sin is a constant reminder that we are the chosen ones of God. Nevertheless, the reality of human weakness makes us vulnerable to temptations and sin. This calls for our constant struggle and fight for Holiness for our enemy the 'Demon' does not sleep...he is always "prowling round like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour"...."M'dani wathu Ndiye Demoni wolusadi wosagona...." Our cry to God through the intercession of Mother Mary will always defeat and crush the 'head of the serpent'
May God give us Faith always and the zeal to allow our hearts to be sanctified through Sacraments and all sacramentals and prayers as we also strive to help others be holy in the world as we journey back to Him.....
