Timing for this recommendation couldn't have been better. Being forced to move due to landlord selling the house, stressed beyond stressed trying to find a home for my family and hit a breaking point. I read about her music just now, she grew up in the next town over from my childhood town, which has basically the same views that inspired her music and I think because of that this art resonates very deeply with me. The brooding dark clouds hanging low, dominating, oppressive, smothering in a windy storm. But looking out to the sea you might see birds circling some god rays in the distance and beyond that the steep shores of Strandir, that are close but feel like a far away distant mystery land, that part of Iceland is one of the least populated.

Eydís is from Blönduós a small town of under a thousand people, the further north you go the more sparse it gets, but there you will find Kálfshamarsvík a beautiful little bay with columnar basalt formations reaching out into the sea, they look a little like the keys of a piano, I think would be a great location to film a video for 'The Northern Sky' there.
