Very cool item. I’d love to see Wiz Kids create trapped and functioning items. Perhaps a chest with a lock that must be picked to open. Maybe a door piece with the handle/knob that must be picked. Countless ideas for traps, including a light shock to a colored water spray if they fail to remove the trap. Then the hand snd eye could be inside as the treasure

@@quesoblanco444 eh... it made me do a little digging online and I found really awesome withered left hands and realistic plucked eyes from prop shops. I could make my own eye and hand of Vecna displays for my game room that look 20x better for the same price.

Ahhh, the cat of Vecna. Pet it too many times and you risk it tearing your soul apart. But, it is so hard to resist doing so. I think these props are neat, but the price point too high. Especially when converted to local currency. If I was in a campaign where Vecna was a really big or memorable part, I'd be tempted though.

Yeah, I had it in a campaign I ran about twenty years ago. I thought I could handle it, I mean I had twenty years of DM experience and a good group at that point, what could go wrong? ........I was SO wrong. After defeating a very powerful Arch Lich who had spent centuries collecting artifacts in order to usurp the power of the god of undeath the hand and eye were discovered to be in his possession. Now, silly me, I thought the entire party of good aligned players and characters would seek to destroy them as they had other nefariousness artifacts in the past.......WELL, there is always that one person, in this case TH E PALADIN OF TYR. I thought he was contemplating how to get rid of them,..........ohhhhh NOOOOOOOOOOO. This joker, who up until this point, a level 36 2nd Edition character 5 1/2 years in the making who had up until this very moment been a paragon of what a pally should be jumped the shark. He plucked out his own eye and then lobed the hand as it clutched his bleeding eyeball and popped them bad boys on. Needless to say EVERYTHING went dead quiet and, i kid you not, his exact words as everyone looked on in shear horror were "why not"............... It did not go well for that party of adventures, no no it did not. Now, twenty years later no party has ever vanquished Lord Vecna from my world as killing gods is not within the power level of mortals but they have managed to put down a couple of his most powerful minions, the old paladins former adventuring crew. I have SO got to get one kits, it just makes the evil DM in me cackle with the kind of joy a DM with forty one years of crazy player antics could ever understand............bwah-ha-ha

You let your players go past level 20? I can't even fathom what you had to throw at them to even be a challenge at that point, and I'm saying this as someone who's vast experience comes from 2nd ed AD&D Ravenloft which could be a meat grinder if played without forethought. Basically the players were gods themselves at 20.

@@josephskiles Oh no, these guys went threw hell and back, quite literally, on several occasions and I kept them on their toes, at least till someone got an acute case of the stupids. These guys were used to no assistance, no lifeline, no resupply, little to no rest or recovery once they engaged the enemy. You may think level 36 is off the chart but what happens when you invade the domain of a necromancer in the Shadow Lands where his infernal piety help shield him and his vast minions, all of whom are descending upon you non stop? So many times they were fighting the BBB@TE with multiple levels of exhaustion, limited spells and with significant injuries. Today, character creation and advancement is so much better but there is something to be said about the days when the heroes took on insurmountable odds in adventures that actually felt like war. Those were the days of legend.

Side note for newer players, Vecna is an anagram for Jack Vance an amazing author whom the whole magic system in D&D is based on

The Head of Vecna is the tricky part to use.

It works better if you jam the stand into the base so that the wire is flush with the bottom of the wood. Then the Hand will lean against it and not cause the whole thing to topple over.

This is a very cool item and comparatively to the other trophy mount very affordable for someone who is wanting to expand their collection. I really liked the inclusion of the kitty and the hard work of working on the road keep it up Theo & Co!

They where meant to be in my game as well as several other parts of vecna all forcibly attached to a litch being mind controlled by the bbeg I had even given one of my players the sword of kas that was gonna get some buffs in the fight but one player dropped out after a character death and others moved away so the campaign ended

This looks nice. My FLGS has all the previous trophies on the wall (and hanging from the ceiling) in the main game area. Their main focus is on DND and the minis to go with it. (Although board games, GW and other products are each given a bit of space) I love your channel as I get previews and ideas for what’s coming out and how to use them.

It's something he abandoned when he became a god, actually - you don't need to defeat him for it he doesn't really have them anymore (plus, well, he is a god, you couldn't defeat him). These are artifacts from the days back when he was "just" a super powerful Lich.

A freaky trophy to have standing around but cool nontheless. Neither of them has directly appeared yet, however one of my main baddies is currently searching for the Eye as ive modified the lore a bit, as he is trying to free the raven queen and grant her domain over the material plane.
