This song is a masterpiece and everyone knows that. This song is as addictive as sugar. Its lyrics, the music, the voice and everything is so beautiful and thrilling that gives me the goosebumps every time I listen to it. In my humble opinion, I thin that Alan Parson’s Project is in the same league or level as Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Eagles, Journey, Foreigner and some others are.

I'm a couple of steps back from you at 58 years old, but feel the same way. Singing to the songs of the late 60's on the AM radio as my mom drove me to kindergarten. Growing up in the 70's and 80's. Seeing it all die starting in the 90's. How lucky we were to live it to the fullest! You've let me know I'll still keep rockin' till the sandman comes! You keep doing the same Anthony!

Im 26 years old and can pretty much recite any song between 1950- 2005. Music has always been an oulet for all sorts of emotions. But Allen Parsons Project seems to fit any mood im in. And what is even more weird is that Allen Parsons is a co writer for the album Dark Side of Moon by Pink Floyd . Because if you listen to this song which came out after that aforementioned album it makes you think how did he not become more of household name. This is to you Allan Parsons you the man, the myth and the Ledgend. 🤘🤘

God of the bible doesn't begile or lie. Luck is a concept. So who else could it be? This is a man who has fallen into the trap and was beguiled by the trappings of the world. He fell down to worship satan. The man whose eyes are now open is trying to walk away. Satan unmasked, is no longer lucifer the angel of light bearing gifts and treasures this world has to offer.. I learned this song back in 1989 in my grade school - didn’t know the name or singer back then. One of those music that remains in a corner of your brain, and always comes back and reminds you of the time when you were young. Since I didnt know the title of the music, never could find out who sang this…tried though, but also forgot the lyric. Today, on a October day of 2023, I finally found this…took me over 34 years to find this music…reminds me of the cold winter days of 1989 in my grade 7 class.

@@seandelfin Us and Them by Pink Floyd is probably the most sensual sounding song about war and death that I can think of. But yeah, I've always tripped on the whole eye in the sky thing. I think that it came from books I've read as a kid and Judas Priests song "Electric Eye" that kinda pushed me into thinking about it. There seems to be hardly a place where you can't be seen from above anymore.

I started listening this music when I was 14 and it helped me learn English little by little and then I came to US as a student and here I am. My mother that lived in Mexico used to ask me to play all these songs I had recorded in cassettes and cd's because she liked them, even though she didn't understand what the song was/talked about, she loved them 🙏 RIP I'll go to the grave with these songs.

This song always reminds me of my mom. I was 12 when this song was on the radio. My parents had recently gotten divorced and my sister and I ended up with our dad, his new wife, and her kids from a previous marriage. We were settling into our new lives, and part of that was my sister and I visiting our mom every other weekend. I was starting to heavily get into pop rock music. My mom was rediscovering pop music being single again. We both liked this song. My mom would sometimes give my sister and I a couple of dollars to go up to the local department store (Woodward's in New West, BC, Canada)'s record department and buy a single, and this was one of the first singles I bought. My mom passed away earlier this year. This is the kind of gentle singing along with catchy music that she always appreciated.

I was about 9 yo when this song came out in ‘82, I knew then it was a good song, catchy, great sounds. 27 years later, going through a divorce, the actual words really hit home with me. I was done, no more working it out so she could go back to treating us like crap down the road again. No more of the lies and deception, everything was so vivid and clear.

Wonderful, thank you! I was smoking on the balcony when a stork passed by. The phrase "I am the eye in the sky" just came to my mind. So here I am ❤

The Intro and how the Chicago Bulls used it elevated it to Epic levels! Still get goosebumps remembering those days. I grew up in Saudi Arabia. Every Friday there was a basketball game on, probably recorded or something and it was usually Bulls. Loved those days!
