I been waiting for this hike for a while now, got the chance and took it. Indian creek at Buffalo river Arkansas, stunning views, water falls and big rocks

A terrific video and a beautiful family outing! A friend and I first hiked to the Eye 35 - 40 years ago.... no ropes back then. Because it was July or August during that trip, there was also little to no flowing water. We were able to climb up to the cave entrance and walk through it to the other end. We had no flashlight and were unprepared for caving at the time, but the "cave" is short enough that by the time it was getting too dark to see much, we began to see a little light from the exit, so we pressed on. I believe that entrance to the cave has been forbidden for many years now because of it being the home of a rare bat species and/or white-nose syndrome. Indian Creek Canyon and a 14 mile long canyon south of Flagstaff, AZ are the favorite two hikes of my life. Thanks for sharing this!

I’ve hiked the Ozarks and Ouachitas for years and never did this hike. It’s the absolute best and is on my list. BTW, you’re an awesome dad!

I hiked this trail two weeks ago. Had just rained and was about as slick as it could be without being ice. Waterfalls were amazing though. Was the hardest trail i have ever been on, but i couldn’t turn back. I have hiked Antelope canyon,14ers in Colorado, snorkeled in the Bahamas and this is my favorite place I’ve ever been. Arkansas Falls is the most unique waterfall I’ve ever seen. Great video and you’re a great dad for taking your kids.

You didn't actually see the Eye of the Needle. If you keep along the ledge to the right at 21:00 you will see a hole in the rock that you can crawl through. When you come out the other side you can continue to hike up the creek until you get to an even more extreme rock formation named thusly.

Yeah I realised this two days later, feel kinda stupid. But I get to go back now!

@@countryeveryday6587 I first hiked up there about 12 years ago. Back then there wasn't that rope, so you getting up to the ampitheater area was very tricky.

I can imagine so, thanks for who ever put the ropes up.

@@weemissile our thoughts too. There's plenty of cpp stuff above the needle. and a lazy horse trail you can take back down to Kyles
