While it's possible that TDS writers have been fairly compensated, it's necessary for all to be on strike in solidarity. There's a union for all stage workers, and the union funds are helping them (including camera operators) stay afloat.

@@DarkLink18819 to clarify: the writers strike is set to earn the writers a living wage. The camera personnel belong to the Camera Operators union. There are unions for various workers on set. Thus, these unions are in solidarity with the writers unions, and will likely pay their workers a stipend doing the strike, since all of them are now not working.
