"Smaller than a can of tuna fish." This is why I come to these videos. Ladyada's precise use of technical terminology. 😂 In all seriousness, though, this is an amazing product! I can't wait to see people applying it to their projects!

A couple of years ago we were working on a SLAM (vehicle vision with ML) experiment with an intern, and we tried a PS Eye camera at first, but for some reason either TF or the OpenCV library that was feeding it absolutely HATED the thing, it wouldn't perform frame captures at all. I found an old, old Intel Realsense camera that was originally designed to clamp onto a laptop or PC monitor (I think it was a remnant of a vehicle cockpit demo that my company built before I started working there-- that demo uses a Kinect camera instead). Plugged that in, and it worked first time. I don't think we were able to use the depth camera, unfortunately.

For that resolution of depth sensor, that is inexpensive.
