Miami is getting their butt kicked on the recruiting trail. The analysis is: 1) we trust Mario to bring in guys before signing day (well we’ve been getting beat on everyone other than Lightfoot this summer and don’t lead for any other blue chipper of note); and 2) Highsmith is choosing these 3 stars over others (no they’re not… Miami went big game hunting and has struck out on everyone except Lightfoot). This has been a disaster and if this team goes 6-6 then I almost guarantee Chance Robinson and Lightfoot seriously start to rethink their commitments. Need to win on the field this year and build for 2025, unfortunately.

Last year Miami was ranked in the 40’s then started landing big whales. The recruits want the ceremony at their high school and national television so they can play the hat game. Mario hasn’t let anyone down yet so wait till the season starts. We are in front of Bama right now so I guess Saban is a disappointment also. 3-5⭐️ & 8-10 4⭐️ coming with 3 big flips from other schools.

@@palmbeachcane9523 you’re not paying attention to recruiting and this 2024 class. Last year Miami was catching the whales from end of June to mid July. They struck out on all the big whales that are announcing in June or July. Miami got 3 star commits this cycle and last year those guys were all 4 and 5 stars. Which whales do you think they’ll possibly land? They’re not getting Breyland or Stone. Maybe they’ll get Jojo Trader if they win 8 or 9 games, but that’s gonna be a battle with FSU and they’re going to be so much better on the field this year. You’re crazy if you think 5-7 and Ruiz not paying any new players isn’t a major problem.

@@palmbeachcane9523 also… you’re not in front of Bama. You’re way behind. Bama is ranked 4th on On3 and 14th on 247. Miami is in the 20’s on both. So no clue what you’re referring to. If you think this class will be top 10 then I got a bridge to sell ya.

@@palmbeachcane9523 not saying that at all. Whenever ppl disagree and jump to ridiculous conclusions like that is the usually the end of solid discourse. Mario is an excellent recruiter, especially when Ruiz and Phil Knight are throwing a lot of money around. He’s a relentless recruiter and he demands a ton from his assistants in terms of recruiting. He wins by getting dudes, not his X’s and O’s. The fact remains if ppl think Mario will bring in a top 10 class and will make up all this ground before early signing day, then they’re setting themselves up for disappointment.
