I was initially intimidated by gel liner, I'd always used a felt tip pen. I recently got gel and find for me it's 10x easier than any other type! That being said, I am an artist, so brushes are my Forte. Maybe thats why 🤷‍♀️

I have the same experience!!! I recently switched to gel and it's soo much easier (with my watercolor experience) to work with and not overdraw. Also it looks more bold with the eyes.

I used to be some confused as to which type of eyeliner to use , and got stuck with the Maybelline eye studio eye gel for years , after watching your video i realised i had the best liner all along !! Thanks for the tip btw to loosen up the harden gel . Hoping for more guidance !!! Cheers

I have very oily eyelids and a very watery and waxy waterline, so lining my waterline and preventing it from smudging has been a challenge for me. Gel liners have worked better than eye pencils. But within gel liners, Inglot has been the best. I have tried so many different gel liners, maybelline, loreal, stilla, bobbi brown and others that I don't even remember. But it's Inglot that lasts the best.

@@zoezzzarko1117 Small smudge brush from elf. I use it only for my lower waterline and for tightlining my upper waterline. I don't apply eyeliner on my lids because they are very oily.

I watched this video a few times, and just put on liquid liner for the first time and HAD SO MUCH FUN! I mean yes it looked awful but wow there's so much more control in my hand and I can tell once I get it down I'm gonna have so much fun!!! Now I'm gonna go try the gel liner I got (I got Loreal Infallable and your Maybeline one) and different brushes. I used to be scared of this but now I wish I tried it sooner it's so much fun!!!

I’ve tried a variety of eye liners. I used to love liquid eye liners..good, then tried felt tip pat mcgrath, stilla and feline charlotte tilbury not so good on older lids, just started using gel ..am finding it pretty amazing so far.

Favourite gel liner is Inglot 77. Favourite liquid & pencil is the Huda Beauty 1 that has both on either side. I do prefer the gel liner the most!

You've explained eyeliners with such clarity and preciseness! Like, one would wonder what's even the need of doing a tutorial on eyeliners! Well, there's the answer. Any suggestions on brushes? I love gel liners myself but ugh it is such a pain to do a proper liner with hooded eyes! Also, I probably don't wash my brush after each use, therefore the unevenness. Try an angled/bent brush. Makes things so much easier with gel.

I've been using pencil for years as I have hooded eyes so my favourite liner was invisible eyeliner... I had tried gel and pencil a while back for smokey eyes too, but I got sick of these looks. Between liquid and pen, pen is so much easier, even easier than pencil for wings. However when I run out I might get a gel liner as it seems to be more versatile. And with your tutorial on turning eyeshadow/glitter into liner, it makes sense to practise!
