Photoshop Tutorial - Creating GIFs in Photoshop & Best GIF Optimization Techniques

In this tutorial, I'm going to cover the best GIF optimization techniques in Photoshop to help make your Cinema 4D renders look super nice with the lowest file sizes possible so you can easily post them in GIF form anywhere on the interwebs without running into file size problems! I'll demonstrate by using 4 different types of images and show you some tips on how to optimize each situation. Oh, and GIF is pronounced GUH-IF. Get outta here with your jifs! ;)

I have to say, that it helped me create a better quality. Just saying dither was increasing the gif size in all 3 variants. What worked was using a smaller size like 80% of it.

THat's due to your render settings in C4D with alpha, make sure you're checking on the "straight alpha" checkbox and it shoudl fix it!

Great video! I imported images from a video I made and added some vectors that I animated but when I save for web and try all the different variables, the image quality is still poor. Any advice? Thank :)

Might be that the animation is too long, but GIF format doesn't do well with actual video footage ( like video of walking down the street or something), just 2D kinda stuff.

thank you so much it did not help me alot sir , i render a 5 sec video via jpeg sequence from after effects to change it to the Gif in Photoshop but the size in save for web will be 35 MB this is really crazy i need less than 8 Mb for Dribbble plz help me by the way resolution in AE was 1440 * 1080 cos i wanted the output will be 4:3 aspto ratio (Dribbble need )

That's a huge resolution for a GIF, that's why! It should be like half that size

I did a 15 sec gif from a video that I dragged in, and its 47MB.. The last one that I did was this long, but It was 4 MB, how can that be? The first one its 1000x800 aproximetly, and the one right now I resized to 400x300 so... I don't understand. Any tips on resizing the weight of the file?? Thank you so much
