@1:40 I would have really liked to see the buildup in the corner of his eye removed. It bothered me that it was just left there. Other than that, nice work removing the blockages. Im sure he felt better.

It must feel so much better once the glands are unblocked (while it might be a little uncomfortable while you’re doing it). I’m sure you’d have been able to help the first patient with a second treatment - he was so badly blocked. I hope he was finally able to get his drops. Thank you for a kind and gentle doctor!

아~! 다래끼 보니까 어릴때 7-8살쯤에 눈에 뭐가 났던거 같아요. 안과 가서 치료 하고 안대를 했던 기억이 있는데 그때 어린맘에 안과에서 치료하면 눈알을 빼서 잘 치료한 다음에 넣어 주시는줄🥹🥹

You were so gentle with his eyes! And now are being sensitive to his needs. That’s wonderful. Yes - can you text him the info? Depending on your clinic, can you mail him a letter with the name of the drops, or email? Can the son get involved and help him? I don’t know if you have it in the office, and can send it on to him but also bill him? Thank you again for being so thoughtful for grandpa 🥰🙏

conjunctival nevus. Dark brown pigmentation on conjunctiva. It is NOT harm.

I have this miserable affliction and it can be very painful. But I’ve never had this procedure done. It looks helpful but only for the short term. The glands will just clog up again and again. Lubricating eye drops are a must. Sometimes several times daily.

Wow! I have blepharitis also but I’ve never had mine to do that (that I know of). I usually wake up with crusty eyelids that I need to clean off. I know what it is and how it happens; I just never knew the glands could be expelled like that. My eyes will itch and get crusty and after some time it goes away until the next flare up. I do have eye drops but they are for my glaucoma.

Are these Meibomian glands that are clogged? Why isn’t my ophthalmologist checking mine? My eye doctor (optometrist) said he thought the glands were plugged which is why I went back to the ophthalmologist. But so far, he hasn’t done anything like this for me. And my eyes are like the Gobi desert and jtch constantly! Aaargggh!!! SO frustrating!

CASE #1. Pick up the eye drops and take it to him if his home is not far, if it is then drop him some in the Mail…that’s would be a super wonderful thing to do for OUR elders!!

I'm sure someone already said, but send the gentleman the name thru snail mail, e mail, or text it. I'm sure whoever taking care of him will have access. You could also "call it in" get them to tell you the Paramus and then leave the information at the pharmacy for them to pick up.

I think that there should be free medical transportation for the elderly who cannot make it to the clinic of their own volition. That makes me very sad for that poor elderly gentlemen in the first video. PERSONALLY, I would arrange transportation for him myself. Ideally, if I owned a medical clinic I would hire a staff member to drive a van to help transport elderly and mobility-challenged patients who had no other way into the clinic. Then you can attempt to bill it to their insurance ( and if not I would just silently cover the cost, but I don't know your financial situation and that might not be feasible for you so I'm not trying to put undo pressure on you. But here in the US medical transportation is 100% billable to insurance companies. Ambulance services here are of course for-profit, greedy, and charge thousands of USD per patient minimum on top of medical equipment, EMT'S actual time on your call, pharmaceutical expert, etc. They make a ridiculous profit.)

For the first patient, and for all elderly people who can’t physically go to important appointments, I’d try my best to find a way to make a house call or at the very least call the pharmacy myself to order his medication and ask them to deliver it to him. We’re all going to be old one day, hopefully, a little extra help can make the world of difference in quality of life.
