Stop. Putting. Tape. On. Your. Face. I tell everyone I teach not to put tape in their own or a client's face. The adhesive is bad for your skin, can disrupt your foundation/powder, and make your eye sticky. There are other tools to get sharp liner, and your office/house/packing/painter's tape ISN'T ONE OF THEM.

Adhesive notes are a lot more gentle on the skin, by the way, I always use them ! Also, align it with your nostril or eyebrow tail, so you have a reference that will help you match both eyes

I have really hooded eyes, but I still do eyeliner and have it show well. I do the winged style, but instead of it going upwards, I draw it in a straight line then connect it to my lashes by going up a bit. Of course, it's different on both eyes. Plus I use my right hand for my right eye and left hand for my left eye, but I'm right handed. By doing the wing line out to the side, it makes my eyes even bigger and is really prominent even behind my glasses. It's super cute too and I actually feel pretty when wearing it like that

Its actually easy for hooded eyes, I would suggest using a hand mirror and doing the wing looking down so you don't have to go over the folds. Draw a shape to where it angles up and then right or left! It should look normal when you look up

That's exactly how you're supposed to do it. I have hooded eyes too and I can only really apply liner to the outer third of my lash line. I'll either use a small wing, a curved wing or a bat wing. And I'll tightline using a pencil or eyeshadow to darken the rest of my lash line without sacrificing lid space

I’ve always had this problem as well. I have yet to see someone on KZbin doing an eyeliner tutorial with as hooded eyes as mine. But honestly- the technique at 8:00 (aka the “bat wing”) has been a game changer. I don’t use it all the time, but when I do, it actually works. It definitely does look different than normal eyeliner when your eyes are closed, but so many “hoodies” are starting to use it as well, making it much more acceptable and not so weird to see now. Try it sometime!

At first I did eyeliner (Xmas 2020) I tried to do it all the way to the inner lash line. But then I was in a rush so I thought lemme just do a quick one. Then I did a wing where it was only one line going out from the outer corner of my eye and that’s what I used ever since (June 2021) so 10000000% recommended when you are in a rush 100000000000000% recommended that you also try to find the time to did it slowly like i did in July 2021 and people are complimenting it left and right. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!! don't put tape on your face. Trusttttt meeee. I used to do this and it looked great but eventually it made my eyes start to sag. Using a card or a business card is actually a great alternative or u can use a stamp eyeliner or if u can't do eyeliner or are a perfectionist like myself.

Idk why people tape their face,you can get acne plus it ruins your powder/foundation instead for beginners use a straight object and make small points on where your eyeliner should end and also make a middle point after that just connect them and fill in your lash line!
