Hello sir, Due to diabetes, one of my eyes leaked, so I had surgery from Shankar Netralaya. The doctor has put silicon oil in the eye. Now more than 1.5 years have gone by, doctor hasn't removed it. Eye vision was very less be 6/18 to 6/24. Now when I consult other doctors to do a review. They say focusing on the other eye is more important than surgery. hello sir i saw your videos 2 year before my retina remove in accident on ship in my eye shown as interface upper side blind and lower side good i did operate hashmani hospital in pakistan now you are right after 6 month cataract dr operated now a days remove my silicon oil same problem you are discussing all youtube family somtimes white shed come to my eye i waana ask you that now silicon oil remove intake my gas how much take time to vision how to clear sir answer me

After oil removal, if gas has been put, usually it takes 6-8 weeks for vision to come, but it depends on health of optic nerve and macula

Thank you very much for the explanation. However, I have a question about the residual small bubbles of light silicone oil that remain inside the eye after removing the silicone oil. Is it possible to wash the eye inside from this emulsion after 8 months, when the eye has already healed (and the injected gas has also dissolved, and the intraocular fluid has filled the eye again), but the bubbles (there are many of them and they are very small) are still there? Will any doctor perform that surgery? Is there still a risk in this case? I’m not a doctor, I’ll note, but a patient) I’ve more or less learned to live with these bubbles in my eye, but it’s not easy - I really want to get rid of them
