I love this show so much. I come back to it time and time again. It's my comfort show, so this channel is the best.

Terrific. The All-Around care is physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It doesn't get much better than that. Thank you Monkey World.

Another loss. Sad news, but it seems they are managing Covid very well. Love this series. And the animals, they are special.

I do wonder at the need to keep all the male Capuchins intact, if their battles end up with maiming each other. This is a retirement home for them, not a breeding group. Poor little old Massey would likely be a lot happier if he didn't have the hormonal drive to be in charge. Seems like a lot of overall stress for no good reason.

Is there a reason why the fingers were not treated before needing amputation, or did I miss that part
@IvanIvanoIvanovich6 ай бұрын
From what they said, the amputations were due to necrosis: the tissue was completely severed from blood circulation and dead to the point where it would could not heal.

What a wonderful show this is; I'm so very impressed with the thoughtful and loving care these primates receive. As a senior (and as a Canadian who is not totally accustomed to the British accent), I do have one problem though. Since the staff have taken to wearing masks, I find it quite a bit harder to understand everything that is said. Any chance masks could be lowered when speaking into the camera? (Although I totally agree that primate safety must come first if masks are important for their care.) Endless appreciation!

It depends on the type of primate. Endangered ones are allowed to breed under strict guidelines.

@@heidinewcombe696 as with all primates, no reversible contraceptive is 100%. There is even a school of thought that an important part of a healthy troupe is a youngster… so, that needs to be considered as well.

They do there at the park except for a few primates such as the Woolys. The baby orangs were at different zoos.

Dang 2 fingers gone. How is he going to climb? Multiple other injuries...thats a bit serious. He's dreadfully skinny. Yall knew you should have separated those animals. I love ML but this is disgraceful.

They are monkeys! Very hardy. They get over injuries quickly. Nothing disgraceful here. You need to research a bit!

Monkeys are resourceful. Missing a finger won’t keep him from monkeying around. 😊
@gigicostlow44146 ай бұрын
He'll do just fine. You won't even realize he's missing fingers. There are monkeys missing hands, arms, legs, including some missing 2 hands or an arm and a leg that climb perfectly fine. Wildlife overcome obstacles way better than humans do. They have to in order to survive. Look up "A monkey with no hands" on the Arroz Marisco channel. Matty was kind of thin when he came there. A subordinate challenging an alpha can happen even among primates that had been together and got along for years. The staff suspected Matty might have been challenging Erico and that's why they were separated at night. It came to blows one day, which is usually what happens, and Matty took the brunt of it. You don't always know that's going to happen and it's a chance you take when introducing a new member. Most of the time they get into scuffles and nothing major happens and the lower ranked one learns his place. You allow this to happen like it does in the wild. That's how hierarchy is established. We'll see if Matty learned his place and I'm sure if he didn't they will be separated permanently.

On orangutan jungle school which is in Borneo there was a female orangutan Kezi, who as a baby had her hand cut off by a horrible man . She adapted very well and could climb high in the trees. She eventually moved to a pre released island and after a few years freedom.
