I'm vietnamese but was born in Germany and just wanted to hop by and say welcome!!! Germany during fall and winter can be kind of gray and lifeless (even for someone who lives here lol) but hang in there!! I hope you get to experience the Weihnachtsmarkt (Christmas market) soon! They sell delicious street foods and cute things there. I recommend trying Schupfnudeln, Glühwein or Kinderpunsch if you dont drink alcohol and Früchtebrot if you can find it! Super yummy 🥰

Generally taking a tour through Christmas market food is amazing! (Back home the other big ones are stuff like Kräppelchen (idk spelling), waffles with something called schlagcreme and gebrannte Mandeln ... and for me foreign stuff like poffertjes and langos :p)

@@wednes3day oh yes I totally forgot about gebrannte Mandeln, absolute must have!! There's something about eating all of those things at stands on the side of the streets while its cold....makes the food taste twice as delicious 😋.

Your German is insanely good, considering you've been learning it for only a month! Especially your pronounciation :) Don't worry much about articles and conjugation - that will come naturally with time and people will be able to understand you even if you make mistakes.People will expect you to make mistakes!

every non european gets so startled by our skinship culture ! even though nowadays people tend not to touch others unnecessarily, it's really common to, for example greet someone with a hug and kisses on the cheek, or to caress someone's arm while talking, it's also a sort of affirmation someone is listening to when they touch your arm/shoulder. it must be a big surprise, but please try not to think of it too much even though i believe it's hard :') it's a friendly gesture, glad the people around you ask for permission !

Hi there! I love your vlogs so much and just wanted to leave a comment to tell you that you don't have to worry about making mistakes! You are doing great. German is a hard language (coming from a native speaker) and Germany and its people can be a bit much, even for me. I think it is so cool that you decided to take the big step of an exchange year in a completely foreign country and we are here rooting for you! Btw, I love how organized you are and I think that your little animations at the end of every video are absolutely adorable.

It must be difficult to communicate with us Europeans. We are (especially us from the South) very touchy and talky even with people we just met. It’s a great thing you’re doing and getting to know people from different cultures and backgrounds enriches you. Good luck in Germany. I lived there for 5 years and liked it.

Heya just telling you in case you don't know: german tab water is highly controlled and always has drinking quality. A rare exception is when you live in a very old house were the pipes are very old. But for a student dorm it should be all fine! Don't worry about having to use a water filter :)

Love your videos. Those little animations as end-credits are priceless!!! I only just started watching when you came to Germany. Are you going somewhere else now that your four week intensive class has finished? Glad you enjoyed the Radler and the sausage 😀. I am German and I live in Berlin. I have recently developed a love and appreciation for Korea, because of K-Dramas, too!!! I also tend to like what other people like ^^ even though people disparage me for lacking originality. Maybe I do, who knows. But I love so many Korean things/cultural elements/products now 😀 and they make me happy 😊!

If you have time I would love you to do a future vlog with your recommendations for Korean groceries that are available at Asian supermarkets over here in Germany (or at least at the one you visit). For example I never heard of black vinegar and will buy and try your recipe at home. I also find it amazing to see you cooking fresh every day. Maybe I have a tip for yo regarding the drained yoghurt situation: You could try the “Skyr” from Alpro. It´s a thick soy yoghurt. You should find it in “Edeka”, “Kaufland” or other big supermarkets. Hope this helps and my respect for navigating through all the new information, situations and all the other stuff. You are doing really well and for one month studying German a 50/57 score is brilliant. We often say “this foreigner speaks better, than some germans”. I think that says a lot about our language and how hard ist is (even for us native speakers)!

Sending lots of love from a German, who studies in the UK but wished she lived in Korea 😅 Btw, you know you can buy Greek yoghurt or Quark for the thick texture? I would recommend you try “Quark” or “Magerquark” as it has a really thick, creamy texture and “Mager” means it is really low in fat so super healthy☺️Another recommendation is if you like sweet, flavourful tea, try “Teekanne Mediteranischer Pfirsich”. It’s naturally so sweet and so flavourful. There is an herbal tea for everything in Germany but some truly taste medicinal 😄😄 Looks like you are having a lot of fun with all the activities!

I’m Japanese, my great grandparents immigrated to Brazil so I’m also Brazilian (not ethnically but grew up here) and I’ve been heavily influenced by Korean culture the past few years I’d say, due manly to kdramas and bts lol but also vloggers like you, that has shown daily life in Korea. I’ve grown to love some of the food I’ve tried to recreate at home (although im vegan so it’s certainly not 100% accurate), I’ve just started taking Korean classes - I know how to read and form sentences but idk the translation lol So yeah it’s nice to watch that u had those nice interactions w other students, and that they loved your japchae!!! this is so random but when I saw your excel sheet I felt bad, because I used to do the same until I found the amazing app Tricount! It's life saving when you have to split the expenses you shared with someone! hope it can help in the future! I love your vlogs, and I'll keep on watching your little adventures, wishing you the best!

Your Japche looks amazing. You would be surprised, the Korean culture is already very popular in Germany. With just kdramas on Netflix and the influence of kpop, interest in South Korea continues to grow. We have many Korean events including kpop events. My life mostly revolves around the Korean culture ^^ I hope that your heating is working now and that you open up more to make new friends

Hey!! I just remembered the video where you ate that bad sushi and in case you haven’t noticed yet, I wanted to tell you that some REWE's and EDEKA's have ‚sushi bars‘ where they sell fresh sushi :) (sorry for my spelling mistakes 😬😬)

도마가 계속 흔들리는데 도마 밑에 행주같은걸로 받쳐서 칼로썰면 안움직일것같아요 칼쓰는데 위험해보여요😢 타국에서 다치면 서러우니 조심하세요~~
